Hopefully fairly likely. Corona-Chan knocked back the festival almost a whole year, (And maybe Arise’s release date, along with it), but they could easily drop them in a Direct.
Hopefully they base a Switch port of Symphonia on the GameCube version, and tack on DoTNW on one cartridge.

the only tales game i've ever played is tales of graces f, it was okay from what i remember but I was always pretty stoned throughout my playthrough

Overpriced ports? Likely, watch them port bad shit like Zestiria and Berseria at 720p 30fps. They'll throw people a bone with Symphonia and then put more shit in the system again by porting Graces. Zestiria and Berseria sold at full price, Graces sold at 40 bucks, Symphonia at 30.

Makes sense not to kneecap what is truly the first fucking next gen Tales because of Switch limitations. Still, the skeptic in me now thinks that ToA's style will define Tales for the PS5, meaning we're stuck with PS4/XBONE limitations for next gen AGAIN. Bamco is fucking incompetent.
The 2D could work on any platform, so saying it will be Switch exclusive seems excessive, but if it can 1080p 60fps docked and 720p 60fps on it's own, then the Switch seems like the best platform.

Tales of Eternia/Destiny II is in my eyes the quintessential Tales game. It has a decent story, nice characters and most importantly, a combat system far above what Phantasia and Destiny had. I think it holds better than titles like Symphonia and Abyss to this day.
