Played it through gamepass and I can see why it bombed. The entire game is just fetch quests and scavenger hunts while fighting off skeletons so you can buy cosmetics.

Didn't update win7 wince 2017 and everything is fine.

"pirates" stealing from other "pirates" and trading with other "pirates" is not a pirate game. everthing you steal is shit thats already "stolen" since it belongs to a pirate. its just a cheesy kids game with nice water where nothing you do is cutthroat or ruthless.

I'm not 12 years old so your post doesn't convince me of anything.

Last time I played it I enjoyed it but only for a few hours. Seems like you see everything the game has to offer pretty quickly and the goal just becomes a grind for cosmetics and collectibles. Maybe I'm wrong, but that was the impression I got after playing for about 4-5 days.

I play this game a lot and mostly do skull forts with my friends. Normally people will not ambush us when we're doing skull forts, only forts of the damned (which have way more treasure) and in that case, you have to sink the other ships or send one or more of your men to the other ships to kill/distract while you load up your ship with the island's loot. Players will typically wait for the skull to disappear from the sky before trying to attack you. Although there have been many times of players hiding at the island without their ship in the hopes of bombing our ship once we finish. So we always keep a lookout on the ship. Also you will see a mermaid in the water which is a dead giveaway.

Yeah those features would make it better, but there definitely is a fair amount of scuminess in forming an alliance with another crew (for sometimes hours) only to break it when it's most profitable for you. Or tricking other players who are friendly.

I've wanted to play this game for a bit, but there is no way I will move to windows ten for it.

Replying to myself to add that using bomb barrels on other people's ships is super fun and effective if you can do it right. Probably the best way of sinking an enemy ship. Especially if you detonate one inside the hull of the ship (for holes) and one on the deck of the ship to kill the crew members. I like to have two people of my crew climb up each ladder of the enemy ship at the same time with a bomb barrel, then detonate at the same time. You can often get a team wipe that way, which is pretty much an instant sink.
