There was nothing wrong with her AI. That's coming from someone who has finished the game atleast 5 times.

This and getting rid of semi-tank controls or making it optional.

They would need to invent a whole new type of game play.
That's really what made re4 stand out.

They can't and shouldn't try to.
Just redo the textures/UI/etc to look modern.
Add baby controls for the 2017-Now Secondaries who need Modern Controls and then keep the original controls for "Veterans" Also buff TMP

Would completely break the game's balancing. If you modernized the controls, it'd require a complete rebalancing and restructuring on par with RE2R and 3R.

If you remove the tank controls the game goes from a third person horror game into a shitty third person shooter. Just look at every RE after 4.

All Ashley ever did was strictly follow your orders. If Ashley dies it's 100% the player's fault.

Add a bonus mode where you play as Leon and Krauser on that jungle mission where Krauser "died". I know it was in Darkside Chronicles, but it makes more sense for it to be here.

Seeing how long the game was in the first place you better hope they don't cut conten first.

the Idea I was toying around with was giving ashley her own campaign (focussing on the horror aspects much more), re-write the story so she has a rough idea of how to use guns and so that she dosen't spend so much time captured.
on the other hand leon plays a much more action oriented story, expanding on the options that you got in 6

Make ashley a strong independent woman who cusses multiple times a sentence. Shrink her tits and ass and give her baggy, unattractive, clothes. And she saves leon at the end and denies HIM sex.

Ashleys AI is barely existant. She follows Leons exact footsteps and orders.
She has no mind of own at all that does unpredictable movements.
Literally the perfect AI for escorting. Anyome who lets Ashley die oR even take damge is just really bad.
So why are you suggesting "fixing" AI?

it's not that hard, they could make the enemies more aggressive and add more moves. basically the evil within.

That sounds like something hysterical when implementing GBA-GC connection for co-op ala Zelda: Wind Waker. Or it could have worked out on Wii U’s Gamepad.... Pretty neat idea.
