Disgaea thread

How did a series with an absolute boatload of weirdo side characters and a horde of pallet-swapped generics not manage to pull off a gacha? The series might as well have been built purely to deliver the perfect gacha.

I don't have a PS4 or a Vita though, so playing 3 is going to be difficult, unless PS3 emulation drastically improved for the few years I wasn't looking

It actually did, not sure about compatibility with D3 but MGS4 is running very well

If you can't play it there's no problem. Again, you won't miss out on much. The characters are boring, the setting is awful, the gameplay is better in 4 and not even the opening is good
Skill merge was the only cool feature, and I guess the online statistics and menu options in the Vita port

From what I'm hearing and seeing, it actually has. Never tried it myself but you probably need a decent PC.

I've never played Disgaea. I bought my PS3 in 2013 with Disgaea 4 as one of the games it came with and I never touched it. Can you guys give me a quick rundown on Disgaea? How do you play it? From the little I know it seems different from other RPGs.
