First DLC is out.
What do you think so far?
Apocalypse mode seems super fun, played for 10 minutes and had 3 meteor strikes.
First DLC is out

I couldn't last more than a few hours playing this last time I tried. On the other hand I always return to Vox Populi.
Bolivar is the most busted a Civ has ever been in the series, eclipsing the likes of Gods & Kings France or Civ V Babylon, I'd bet money he's going to nerfed next patch.
Maya seems extremely strong while still having sizable downsides, they're honestly pretty well balanced.
Apocalypse is fun, the new city states are fine, and while it's not a game changer, it's nice that they finally added Maize and Honey to the game.
>Gran Colombia's bonus is listed as his free Great Generals
>not the insane, game-changing +1 movement to all his units
Vox Populi is the only good thing about V, I come back just for the AI. I was gonna download V again today but saw the DLC dropped, gotta play a few games.
I might check it out also but last time was so fucking jarring.
what's with the circa 2006 online ftp artsyle ewwww
If you haven't played civ games before V, then VI can be quite different and overwhelming. If it's the art style that bothers you, one of the devs made a mod that makes the graphics a lot more like V, it's on the workshop.
Mechanics wise and in pretty much every aspect VI completely obliterates V, if they don't fuck up the DLCs it'll be by far the best civ game.
>$118 to add all dlc to card
fuck you Firaxis
They wanted to go back to cartoony graphics and a somewhat "goofy" game like it's always been, it's a civ game, not a Total War.
Also this art style has the advantage of aging extremely well.
I just pirated the DLC, otherwise I bought civ6+RnF+GS for 30 total 2 months ago, wait for a discount. I don't have every little DLC but eh.
It's been the same with V.
That's the country bonus, not the leader bonus.
>aging extremely well.
because it looks 15yo already?
Why the flying fuck they keep adding literal who f*moid leaders, especially fat and black ones
Uh? There is ONE black female and she wasn't a literal who. As for this chick, apparently she's a big deal.
You make it sound like every leader is a fat nigress.
>ONE black female and she wasn't a literal who
who was >she historically then
Holy fucking shit, these leaders all look so fucking retarded. When did civfags hit so low?
Amanitore and Nubia are perfectly fine additions, the only female leaders that feel out of place here are Gorgo and Seondeok
I know very little about Nubian history. Some anons were discussing it in a previous thread.
>these leaders all look so fucking retarded
In what way?
>the only female leaders that feel out of place here are Gorgo and Seondeok
And Catherine.
that's a maya/atzec leader not nubian
Catherine is fine, she defined an entire era not only in France, but in all of Western Europe.
She might have not ruled in her own name, but she was undoubtedly the one in charge for decades.
Mayan leader could use some redesigning, but HOLY FUCKING SHIT THE MAYAN THEME SLAPS.

You know Civ 6 had issues when they started dumping in historically inaccurate portrayed female leaders. Queen of sparta holding a spear lol.
I was talking about Amanitore.
You're joking right?
Catherine de Medici only seems like a bad pick because France has an ocean of memorable influential leaders.
She's no Napoleon, Louis XIV, or Robespierre, but she perfectly encapsulate Protestant Reformation-era France.
>when they started dumping in historically inaccurate portrayed female leaders.
Soooo, since the second one?
But we alread played those. Do you want Napoleon every single game?
>Amanitore
literally whomst
Let me rev up my autism. Here are the 50 civs/leaders I wish the game had.

Representing Oceania:

>Queen Salamasina leads Samoa
This is a hopefully a good geographic mix that spreads things out nicely. I've gone with solid leader choices every time over more obscure options.
We can talk about the civs that the first expansion adds (20) if this generates any discussion.
I was defending Catherine's inclusion, I think having her in the game is great, I'm just pointing out that she's only seen as a "bad pick" because the other obvious picks are much more famous/infamous.
Also, we haven't had Robespierre yet.
>Sid Meier's Civilization II is a turn-based strategy video game in the Civilization series, developed and published by MicroProse. It was released in 1996 for the PC and later ported to the PlayStation by Activision.
Why do they even include shit outside of Europe, Asia and the US?
A lot of those are already in the game.
I'm all for a Hannibal, Louis XIV, Theodora.
But more important than civs, I want to see what they do with the mechanics. The secret societies stuff, will religion get a rework, and what building/wonders we'll get.
Because there have been civilizations outside of Europe, Asia and the US?
It's called soul
There's been people outside of Europe, Asia and the US.
There hasn't been any civilisation.
I know lots of them are in - this is just my hopes and ambitions.
how are jadwiga and elanor(french) the only attractive leaders?
How do you pirate dlc. I want to buy Warhammer 2 but I'm literally Jewish and my nature refuses to allow me to buy an incomplete game or buy a compete game for $200.
Cope harder that your racist colonial lies are dying with your flavorless food and weak cultures milk skinned alt right permavirgins :)
>flavorless food
user, be kind
When will they add a freeplay mode where it's just me and no other civs or barbs?
I just wanna build nice aesthetics without having to worry about staying competitive.
Because the other female leaders are either middle aged or historically renowned for being ugly, Kristina and Victoria especially.
Also, add Cleopatra to the list of attractive female leaders, even though contemporary sources say she was homely, albeit with an extremely charming personality.
how's the Apocalypse stuff work? Is it just ancient era nukes?
I just got the whole game+DLC+this one on skidrowreloaded.
Yes they have. Not as influencial as Yurop's maybe, but there have been civilization all over the globe. Even in fucking Africa.
