No it's not you retarded zoomer, Civ V was shit when it came out. Threw away lots of the staples, made some eye straining graphics, etc. It was only fixed by the DLCs. Civ VI on the other hand was mediocre when it came out, and the DLCs have not helped nearly as much as V.

I finally gave Epic a try and purchased Assassin's Creed: Odyssey for $10 on sale because I've heard it's a decent RPG. Epic Games then, without asking me, installed Uplay onto my system, failed to boot multiple times (I then realized it wanted me to independently boot Uplay and create an Ubisoft account and sign in on their awful application) and then when it finally ran, the game crashed.
I can at least give Epic points for having a great refund system, as I was able to get my $10 back pretty easily after I uninstalled the game and Uplay from my system. This is more Ubisoft's fault, I guess, but still, Jesus Christ. What a nightmare.
