I asked him too many times if cycle accurate N64 emulation was doable and I never got any other answer than not in the near future. It needed something like 10ghz+ clock speeds on a single core or more.

Now he suddenly decides to do one. So I don't know if he figured something out, or this is purely an autistic exercise and you can't actually play this emulator.

The problem with a lot of emulator developers is that they are so fucking autistic that they struggle to conceptualise appropriate levels of accessibility and functionality. They get obsessed over implementing some bumfuck pixel blender shaders and software modes noone wants or will use, instead of striving for accuracy and it just working.

He already said this is exactly what it is. He has no plans to release it or the code, it's just something to keep him occupied while under lockdown. If it gets good enough by his standards, he might release it.
