I'd love to give it to XIII, but at least that's a complete experience. Gotta give it XV.

I think 8 is better than 7 in many ways and 7, while definitely a good game, is way too overrated and any discussion about it is plagued with secondaries who have never actually played the game but want to throw their two cents in because they watched Advent Children one time and listened to an hour long youtube essay on why 7 is oh so great.

For anyone wondering:
- Sequels weren't included because if the first game was shit, it's unlikely you played the sequel (hence no X-2, Lightning Returns)
- Didn't include MMOs or mobile games
- Didn't fill the list with games people don't call out as shit (so no games like VI or IX)

you also need to install the specific soundfont it uses for some reason

15 has its problems but it's no way near as bad as 2 or 8. At the very least it's coherent and playable

2 and 8 are far more coherent than 15.

Squall is a dislikable asshole and Rinoa is a bland, spoiled whore. The love story felt really shoehorned and unnatural.

Also I dislike how hard the game sucks Squall's fucking dick. In other games the center of the story is the world, in FF8 it's Squall. Squall here, Squall there, that's how his parents met, that's how he lost his sister, that's his necklace and it even has a name. Fuck this shit. Squall gets treated like the fucking chosen one.

Unless you're some pathetic self-inserter seeing how someone gets his dick sucked so much is really uncomfortable. And let's not forget how Seifer is introduced like that important badass rival but he becomes pretty damn irrelevant, uninteresting and outright pathetic in the game. Fuck this garbage game.

i like both a lot but ff8 disc 4 locking content, slower battle speed and level scaling make it inferior to lovely ff7, both had good combat systems but ff7 was just good whereas ff8 was just CARD-MOD good

15 gets worse the longer you look at it. The more you unpick it, the more you realise you're pulling wolf hair out of faecal matter.

I've only heard the music sound passable on good sound cards, which is pretty awful for this day and age.

Drawing magic is tedious and the battle system itself is broken as fuck. You can say that about FF7 too but 8 is broken by design rather than glitches.

The scaling shit killed it for me. I PLAY JRPGS so I can get away from my problems with the grindan gaem

Playing FF6 and Holy Shit, Kefka moving the Warring Triad and basically Nuking the world was so fucking unexpected cant wait to keep playing more.

It's a great game contrary to what many plebs think, but it does have its fair share of problems. I would assume that an 8 remake would fix them since VII remake fixed the double edged sword shit with the materia system
