Shadow of the Colossus is a genuine example of an overrated game. It’s the very definition of style over substance, all you do is hold down R1 while passively watching WOW EPIC CINEMATOGRAPHY and move close to the week spot when it’s over.
Saying Last of Us is overrated is like saying GOT is overrated as a show.
As in "Maybe a couple of years ago but not anymore LOL".
There's plenty, Halo, FF7, Zelda BoTW, Uncharted/TLoU, World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, Battlefield, FIFA, Fortnite, PUBG, Witcher 3, Dad of War
But honestly, Skyrim beats them all, it's an awful RPG with awful mechanics that only get's praised because itwas streamlined to the point of barely being an RPG

So far the holy trinity of overrated games are Mario 64, Super Metroid and Symphony of the Night
Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess, both hailed as the best in the series and the best games of all time. They're just boring as shit, to me at least.
The only game where Zelda actually worked in 3D was Wind Waker, the 2D titles: mostly ALTTP, Links Awakening and Minish Cap is where the series' gameplay is at its best

Super Metroid is mashing button to win throughout the entire game. Never played KH because I am heterosexual but I know it has super bosses (Xemnas, Sephiroth, Ice Titan). Metroid has a grand total of 0 great boss fights.

Super Metroid has the fight against Draygon where the grappling hook can be used to deal damage to yourself and more to the boss while he grabs you. Super Metroid isn’t about pew pew as much as it is about exploring, the feel that comes from the level designs and music. There are hidden wonders in the world, like moves taught by the friendly creatures that aren’t in the instruction manual (and the ability to save them).
