>Crimson >The Crimson is a single emergent living being connected directly to each world, sharing a hive mind, and solely focused on restoring balance at all costs. Many misguided people have made the horrific mistake of raising the Crimson to the level of a deity – conducting human sacrifices to it to placate the monstrosity or seek its favor. The Crimson gladly consumes these bodies, becoming one with them and producing terrifying beings, who lose the ability to feel and blindly follow the hive mind.
>Corruption >The Corruption is a cancer caused by the sins of those living in the worlds of Terraria. The Corruption knows nothing else but to consume everything it touches, leaving behind terrible creatures of hate that exist for the sole reason to cause pain in punishment for the unearned pleasure experienced by living things.
i don't know but the new brain of confusion is an s++ tier accessory

Corruption because nostalgia, fuck the Crimson items having better stats on some stuff
Jaxson Price
that good, eh?

Why does the Crimson get 3 enemies but Corruption only has 1 plus the worms that rarely spawn?
Bentley Morgan
Imagine liking edgy biome trash.
This post made by the hallowed gang.

Corruption is easier for first timers/out of practice veterans Crimson has more enemies that are also more difficult Also Vampire Knives

question: if the crimson had its own hallow equivalent what would it be
Landon Edwards
Like them or not you have to have one of the evils in the world user

Maybe a Crimson of a 'good' creature

Because Eaters of Souls can fly, and thus can cover pretty much everything to make a new player's life hell. Devourers increase the threat level even more to people who think they can fend off the lesser flying fucks.
For Crimson, Crimeras act like Eaters, but don't spawn to the same frequency so the ground-based Face Monsters and ground+wall-based Blood Crawlers can join in too.

I just want to fight the queen slime without dozens of fucking unicorns and pixies spawning

>tfw using using the Onyx Blaster for the first time Holy shit this is fun, I always used the Mini/Megashark but this is way more fun.

I remember a long chain of popular threads suggesting three pairs of world evils/world """goods""" on the terraria forums and the crimson "good" counterpart they suggested was like a robot wasteland, since crimson is all fleshy. They even did art for it all
Ayden Jackson
>using such cringe memes upon me I see you have chosen...death
Well yeah it's not exactly original but I remember the art they did was bredy gud and the 3 pairs thing was very well thought out IMO which is why I mentioned it
Gavin Brown
Lads I have moon lord on farm. What is there to do now? Feel like 1.4 is very underwhelming.
David Gutierrez
>farming for a nazar and maybe a rod of discord on underground hallow >get 2 hallowed keys instead
this but journey, 10x spawns, no researching, toss your wings/finch and play in an eternal night monsoon
Justin Bennett
I wish you could sell duplicates of the biome keys Theyre kinda useless with more than one unless they added more dungeon biome chests
Gavin Richardson
>three pairs of world evils/world """goods""" on the terraria forums and the crimson "good" counterpart they suggested was like a robot wasteland, since crimson is all fleshy. They even did art for it all Makes a lot of sense actually, what was the third pair?
Robert Hernandez

So now that 1.4 has completely ruined the game can we all agree that Starbound is the better game?

I demand new alternates in general. >Hallow Cyber. Instead of being all fleshy like the Crimson, it's fuckin' mechanical. >Jungle Swamp. Foggier, more dense with life. Loadsa ferns. >Lihzahrd Temple A medieval like buried castle that appears in a swamp. Lihzahrds are now possessed armor suits. Would reference Monty Python a bunch. Golem would be swapped with the Rabbit of Caerbannog piloting a mech. >Ocean Mountain. Reaches into space. Lots of caves. Has a chest at the top. If you see it you can climb it. >Desert Savannah. This one's a bit of a stretch, but you can imagine how it can differ. Instead of pyramids you have Ayers Rock-like formations with loot inside them. Instead of oases you have big reservoirs. You might have to fight shit like elephants or zebras. >Dungeon Clocktower. Far more vertical than the Dungeon is, reaches into the space layer. Boners are replaced by steampunk automatons and Cursed Skulls could be like evil floating cogs. Castlevania references aplenty. >Underworld Hades. You ever see Disney's Hercules? It's like that. Lava's replaced by a new blue Stygian liquid with spirits that drains your life force. More Greco-Roman influence. Temples instead of towers. Wall of Flesh could even have an alternate, like a Wall of Spirits or something.
Put this shit into Thorium or another new mod, I beg you. If not and if I ever get the programming/art chops I might fucking do it.
>Golem upgraded. It glows a bit, didn't notice a difficulty spike. Did it actually get harder?
Grayson Myers
I can't seem to find it but the evil was this dark green, pestilent biome with nasty shit growing on everything with a two phase cocoon/giant butterfly boss and the """good""" was an autumn forest with some fae/norse mythology stuff thrown in. I think the thread was deleted due to age or maybe the guy deleted it himself
