Nah, weak level design in both structure and aesthetic. Bloated DMD enemies from 3 again instead of the properly balanced ones from 1 and 4. It's good, but it ain't the best.

Nah I hate they still keeping that character switch in story mode. Totally ruin your muscle memory, much worse when Dante come into play.

Not him, but forced variety is worse than no variety. The game would be much better if you could choose which character to play as in any mission after beating the game.

Your controls are mapped, or should be mapped, the same across each character. The problem is how half-assed V is but you must be shit if your muscle memory fucks you've between characters.

I never got to play DmC:DE because it was PS4 exclusive and never came to PC.

Fuck off faggot. DMC as well also fucked this up in DMC2 back in the early 2000's by forcing you to play as some chick nobody wanted to play as and caught a lot of shit for it as well. Playing multiple main characters in a linear story video game fucking sucks and history backs that up. GTA V was the one exception and it was OK only in spite of their stupid multi-character story, not because of it.

Yep. Look at what Resident Evil 3 remake did.

In 2 the character campaigns were separated by discs though.

raiden in MGS2 and lucia in DMC2 are very different things compared to DMC5
raiden in MGS2 still had snake's moveset its just that he was a faggot
you didn't have to play as Lucia in DMC2 because you could just beat the whole game as dante because he had his own disc

I find Dante overwhelming to learn in Devil May Cry 5. Nero is the sweet spot for me and V sucks because I feel totally disconnected from the battles.

Overall I think Devil May Cry 3 is still my favourite.

Didn't put it in there, but DmC Lock on Edition goes in B tier as well. Story is so stupid its funny now and the gameplay, though busted, is still decent.

Just don't equip all his weapons at the same time. 3 of each is more than enough, and 2 will force you get good with them.
