I was against it for a long time, it was obviously fake and stupid and thinking just a blurry bunch of pixels was real was beyond retarded.

Then the random healing item got leaked and people tied it to psyenergy and made a case for it and I started to waver. I gave in and said you know what it's probably real in that case

They revealed that the direct was like 35-40 minutes or something and I went back to thinking it was fake as "they have no way of showing off that many characters in just that amount of time." but still, I believed it for a brief while so I'll count myself even if I fell off it.

Mach rider was the most hype out of everyone for me on that list, even if the retro character in each installment was a predictable pattern.

Yup pretty much this. The fake leak had the advantage of having an insane amount of coincidences working alongside the leaker's intuition of thinking 5 steps ahead. We'll probably never have something like this ever again.

I never got any of my most wanted except for Pitoo and Junior in 4 and by then I wasn't even rosterfagging because I barely knew what Zig Forums was, I think I can ask for Bomberman and Metal Sonic as much as I want now. Doesn't mean I won't get them but also does not mean I'll stop.

Does anyone remember the Fallout 4 ARG? I mean the one way before the actual announcement of Fallout 4 back in like 2013 I think? It was super high quality and everyone in Zig Forums feel for it, including me. And not just Zig Forums, it was being reported everywhere, news sites were covering it. The ARG went for about half a month until it became so big that Bethesda finally came out saying it was bullshit and it was revealed to be the work of one really dedicated autist. Maybe you guys don't remember that and that's why you fell for this, but I did and ever since then I never took leaks seriously.

People always say that "It's too high quality" to be real but people seem to always underestimate the sheer talent and autism of humanity.

It seemed legit, but at the same time, I had my doubts, because it seemed way too many characters to add within such a short time. Banjo was added anyway, he's the only one I cared about.

I wanted to, but I knew inside that it wasn't going to happen. I was so excited for Banjo, Mach Rider and Chorus Kids. Honestly I wanted some new 1st party retro rep like we usually always get but I didn't get that, but 1 out of 3 is more than I ever expected.
