I'm having a post-persona depression. Is this worth it? Not like there's anything more to do in quarantine.

do you like hakama sets?
not really but I do like Kubo, also how is the action and vn aspect in this. Is it balanced?
Better release on pc
>Is it balanced?
It is decidedly narration first, everything else distant second.
Combat takes up maybe 10% of a normal playthrough time, if that.
>I do like Kubo
how's your experience, is it worth it?
strictly artwork, not story
play Caligula Effect then come back and tell me if I should play Caligula Effect
>he fixed the loop
Thank God
ST4 is so good, bros. It's a perfect epilogue game to Oogami Kagekidan.
I understand now why some japs are angry about nuST. It completely ruined the happy epilogue.
I'm too scared to start playing ST5. Half of the cast are ugly and the MC looks like a beta basedboy. Please don't be shit.
Wait a few more days to a week and Utawarerumono will be out. Get that instead
>strictly artwork
that's the problem in this context
It's a comfy interact with cute girls game. You'll probably like it if you're into that but be aware the combat is kinda mediocre and boring but that's not really the draw for this game.
Also for anyone who really liked Shin Sakura Wars or doesn't want to buy it, the original was translated for Sega Saturn last year and is easy to emulate on mednafan/retroarch beetle. Sakura Wars 5 is also the only other game translated for PS2 and Wii and can be emulated on pcsx2 or dolphin. Both are great and worth picking up.
Can you redpill me on ST4 epilogue?
I'm curious about what was added between 4 and Shin
I'm interested in the game due to the fact they said that your interactions with the girls will affect how the battles go. I'm a sucker for this kind of system and is why I'm thinking of getting this. Does it work as good as they said?
I'm fuming that I didn't learn japanese these past years. I could be playing the ST1 remake on the PS2 without having to compromise by playing the fantranslated saturn version.
oh well, c'est la vie
reminder that subaru is best girl
Gameplay is aight and the story is eh. It's really a hit or miss game
I do really like this game. It's fairly unique in modern game landscape though probably for a reason so hard to recommend by referencing anything else. It's much more narrative-driven and doesn't have many mechanics that are integrated in story part and would feed into combat sections.
If the idea of high production value VN type game appeals to you, there isn't much else around that fits the bill this generation.
This leaves more Erica for me.
The difference can be big, in 1-5 having good relationships means like 7+ movement and boosts to attack/defense. In Shin it boosts strength & HP (but it's noticeably the easiest game in the series).
Yeah kinda but I think the main difference is whether or not you choose the correct options to get affection. The game will still progress but the characters won't react positively to you.
Erica is in Ogami bowl user, not Taiga
To add to that, in the original games, the girls get higher stats depending on the amount of points you have, they'll get an additional boost if you've interacted with them in between battles, and and their general mood is more positive with higher affection.
I'm talking about the newest PS4 game btw, also an user said the battle is only like 10% of the entire game. Is that true? Because if I do all that but barely fight then it'd be worthless imo.
Yeah the meat of the game is just the interactions with other characters during the story. The combat in the new one is pretty lackluster and easy.
>m having a post-persona depression. Is this worth it?
why notj ust play a fucking shin megami tensei game
because the implication is that I have already played all the SMT series and just finished Royal for the latest one so now I'm coping by looking for another game with the same feels.
dammit
It's nothing really "wow".
ST4 is a relatively short game that deeply focused on interaction between characters. It's pretty simple, but the ending gives the huge "this is THE final game of the series" feel with the graduation song-vibe, giving everyone happy ending, Yoneda's retirement and passing the torch to the next generation stuff. It's obvious that the game was made to be the "epilogue game", that's why it's pretty short to accommodate many waifu routes and endings.
Though this can be excused by Oogami ending (not choosing any girl) where the very final scene is Teikoku Kagekidan responding to a Kouma spawn alert. Little did they know that all of them were about to get fucking obliterated to the shadow realm for over a decade while Sumire grew old alone. It's just too tragic that the old cast that you spent a lot of time with were treated this way. It's a big fuck you. If the gap between this and Shin is just a few years, then sure, that's fine. But 12 years? There's no coming back from this anymore, especially for Sumire. She's an old hag now. Only deus ex machina time reset can redeem this.
youtu.be
10:33 for epilogue
>I have already played all the SMT series
if this were the case you wouldn't be having any "post-persona" depression. nothing feels like persona in megaten other than persona
I like this dork
thats it. i'm definitely going for her. when's her chapter? I just got introduced to the mexican loli
