This is the base I made with my brother shortly before the update. It evolved a little over time as we got further into the game: NPCs originally resided in the small village outside of our personal keep, but were evacuated inside for protection once we entered hardmode as they kept dying constantly. All the town lights were shut off via wiring to give more of an abandoned feel. We also added lava pits and pirate cannons for fending off invasions after spending 30 minutes spawncamped by pirates.
We stopped shortly before fighting the first mechanical boss but haven't had the chance to play the new update together. Is there some way to take the base layout and drop it into a newly generated map via an external world editor or something? I want to start fresh but not rebuild the entire thing again.
It doesn't spread so fast you can't just clentaminate that shit later. It's just a shitty setback.

It actually seems like a lot of stuff got buffed for no reason. Late pre-hardmode magic items like the magic missile was already strong but then they gave it twice the speed, auto-honing and a fucking AoE effect. Was all of this just to bring every other item in the game up to the level of ranged, or was it to further create a divide between every other class and how fucking awful summoning is?
