I was honestly pretty optimistic until I saw pic related. If the base story, gameplay and puzzle mechanics were enough, something like this wouldn't be neccesary. The combat looks better than past games, but this 'fiill in the holes' mechanic that kind of fell flat in CS is not something I wantd to see make a re-appearence.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The new ring system and not seeing a “Thing” the entire trailer by default doesn’t make it Sticker Star 3

Filling up holes shouldn’t be a problem if the execution is actually better this time.

Filling up the holes was never the problem, it was the tedious scenarios and the fact that, just like stickers and cards, battles serve no purpose when you find colors practically everywhere

These threads are always shit shows. One person saying their inference based of the trailer is right, another saying their inference based off the trailer is right. We literally know nothing until a full length, 20 minute gameplay trailer is released, and we truly won't know until we can actually play it ourselves.

Something else that has gotten lost in the shuffle is that there was going to be a huge expose for this game at E3 celebrating 35 years of Paper Mario, which would probably have had really definitive answers to our questions, but sadly with E3 getting cancelled we won't get this.

It falls in line of the real problem of SS and CS, making it a resource you were at no risk of losing.

Most people right now are right in the middle, they need more information to cement the direction the game is going.

The best this can do at least is to be an enjoyable game with gameplay mechanics that aren’t ass and it can at be respect and as a great game in a different vein
