So, I don't know much about this situation because I don't care about this game or the drama in the background.
But a lot of people just have major sour grapes when other people achieve notoriety or success. Who cares if it's coded shitty? It was a 1-man passion project from an amateur, I'd expect it do be shitty. It's not a moral failing to start be bad at something when you're not experienced, but people always want to take people down out of jealousy.
Mike Z is an asshole. More importantly than that Evax can't handle even constructive criticism and freaks out when you don't compliment his shit after he makes no improvements and ignores your advice, there's so much evidence of him doing petty shit as yanderedev it isn't difficult to see how someone would get annoyed working with him.

Because his first "big" project was a fighting engine game for a fighting game. He wrote the engine in 3 months and it was full of errors and Mike tried to point him in the right direction, but he had a meltdown because Mike didn't have absolute words of praise for him.
