Any good? Is it reddit? Heard the ending sucks. True/false?
Any good? Is it reddit? Heard the ending sucks. True/false?
ending is the bestest part of the game
Is it good tho
Good game. Too mature for Zig Forumseddit though. Don't play it unless you're not one of the usual peabrains that posts here.
it plays like a mix of cod and gearsow, the best parts of this game are schizo moments near the end
>Is it reddit?
didn't you know even the fucking weather is reddit?
It's good
Definitely worth a playthough.
What a shit game, it's ironic anons are accusing it of being reddit when that's one of the many places that continue to inflate this game's value well past its actual mark.
>lmao seethe pilled it's dark need marvel quip for hero 3000 dark pilled based check it it's in his head bro he's evil and shit
Whoopity fucking doo-dah, muh-PTSD what a riveting fucking point to make. Is that even the point it's trying to make? It gets so muddied amongst all the garbage META-commentary.
>this is YOUR fault!
>do you feel like a hero?
I feel like this game's trying to pull some bullshit on me because everything they're nailing the player on is shit you are outright NOT GIVEN ANY AGENCY ON
No choices, no options, no non-linearity at all. Yet for some reason it still tries to be this faggy meta message about violent video games
>lmao just don't play the game dude then nothing bad happens, just turn the game off
I bought a fucking game, not a paperweight. Worst of all I can't even use it as one because it's fucking digital.
Suck my dick, Spec Ops, in a genre of a million awful cover shooters you somehow stick out as one of the worst. Fuck you.
look at this guy, he shat himself
>Is it reddit?
What does that mean?
>NOT GIVEN ANY AGENCY ON
see this is what i've heard; that the ending is basically "welp you're a PoS :^))))))". my favourite games are games like fallout 2, FNV, Warband etc. where you are free to make your own choices and reap whatever comes.
Well, this isn't that type of game. There are a few minor choices you can make that ultimately don't affect the story that much.
The devs had a story they wanted to tell. I personally think it's worth experiencing that story.
They really need to remake it just to make the gameplay better. The whole game is a 10/10 outside of gameplay.
no it isn't worth it at all
does it appeal to literally anyone but neckbeards
One of the peabrains I mentioned earlier right here
I might still get it. I can appreciate a fixed narrative.
He can just watch someone else play it on youtube. It'll lose a little of it's "impact" but it's more of a movie then it is a game anyway.
you're given the choice of playing the game or not. You decided to play it knowing its a shooter.
it's reddit - people who still praise it are retards
>Any good?
yes
>Is it reddit?
yes
The problem with this game is it tries to make you feel bad for killing video game NPCs and that because you made that choice as a player, you are a terrible person. Your options are, kill the civilians or turn off the game.
self-inserters hate it
Endings are great. Solid game with a cool story that people pretend to get mad at since they’re stupid and believe you have to agree with protagonist just because you play as him. Nobody does that with movies.
No, it tries to make the protagonist of the game feel bad for his actions you fucking dunce. Want to repeat more of the same shitty copy pastas from these pointless Spec Ops The Bait threads?
Depending on YOUR knowledge of ethics on war you will feel the game is either pretentious or accurate in its portrayal of war and its effects.
I argue the game does a good job on what most soldiers have to go through. "All choices you are allowed to take are bad" whereas some other people argue that the game still could have presented more realistic choices.
I think a lot less people would be angry with the "the best ending is to not play" if it wasn't said about an AAA game.
As far as game quality go tho, its amazing. The game is full of detail, everything is well done, and the cinematics, specially the ending, regardless of anyone's opinion of the plot, ethics, and the plot twist, is very well made and looks cool.
You should play on the lowest difficulty tho. The highest difficulties SUCK and reward you with NOTHING.
playing it on the highest difficulty makes the ending all the more impactful. The last couple checkpoints are pretty infuriating and you get numb to the feeling of slaughtering all these people over and over again.
Its not a game about choices, but rather of how you cant change things. Walker went in trying to do his best, while being a bit arrogant in trying to do more than just recon and call for help to arrive. The rest is just everyone trying to do good and failing horribly.
Radioman was good at first
Konrad was good at first
Walker was good at first
Everyone did their best but as everything goes to hell with the chaos, every mistake pileup until things get twisted into tragedy
It’s the story about a man who wants to do good, makes horrible mistakes and is hunted by his guilt.
Plus Dubai was already doomed, even if delta is a monster of a fighting force, 3 man cant herd a city of cats trying to kill each other for years.
Spec ops its basically Walker’s guilt simulator.
The meta stuff is up for interpretation.
Playing it on the highest difficulty was BS. The difficulty is artificial and the AI gets aimbotty, some checkpoints are literal trash and made with the highest difficulty in mind and it only took away my enjoyment of the game. I was just trying to tryhard it. Imagine the dissappointment that it was one of those "to unlock the REAL hardest difficulty you must have played the game once" thing after i was done. The only reward you get is a fucking achievement. Fuck that
How are you on Zig Forums and you still haven't played this yet? Did you start posting last week?
Exactly. The entire point of the game isn't how the player is bad no matter what he does. But that the more you try to help the more you fuck people without realizing.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions: The game. People just think that having a sudden negative outcome to an honest help means the game is just trying to mess with you.
Hardest difficulty is weird.
It isn't THAT hard, but punish exposure too much
It rewards camping on a single wall the entire battle. (Exept specific fights which have weapons in the ground at specific strategic points)
anything that tells you you're the asshole for wanting to see the conclusion of a story when you have no agency is automatically terrible because it's already the fate of the story to reach that conclusion even if you decide to put it down or not play it at all. its literally already written
>It isn't THAT hard, but punish exposure too much
It rewards what was the AWFUL fad of back then. Cover based shooter (Fuck you, gears of war). Because of that the entire game revolved around you ordering the nigger and the jew around while moving cover to cover each 3 meters to keep shooting.
okay retard.
