It's not honestly. They waste time, money, resources, etc for nothing. All the effort that went into the female model, voice actress, dialogues only for her, pronouns, etc were wasted. Most armors are also different for Kassandra so there is even more time wasted.

You look at games with male and female protagonit options like Dragon Age, and then at games like Witcher 3, and Witcher 3 is WAY superior.

I always considered games with a choice a way for the developers to say "ok, we want a female protagonist for our game, but if we do that, nobody wil buy our game, so let's give players the male option".

It's just a swap, all options are still the same. So it's not as if they had to waste budget on the story.

The problem is that Kassandra model, voice actress ,animations, outfits, etc still take time. And it makes 0 sense for her to even exist which makes he entire plot ridiculous.

Just use cheat engine to level up and enjoy the story. The only problem with the game is the huge open world. I don't understand why they can't just make an interesting big city and that's it, it's better to have every single NPC and building fleshed out and accessible rather than a huge forest, a huge desert, a huge ocean, etc.

I'm 26hrs in as Kassandra and wish I picked Alexios because his VA is more entertaining and they spent more time on facial animations with him.
