you're acting like this is something that isn't heavily implied in the game. Aerith already knows what's going to happen at key points throughout Remake, most obviously during the Sector 7 plate collapse. She's doing the same thing that Sephiroth is doing, sending her consciousness into alternate timelines. Remake is a time travel battle between Aerith and Sephiroth.

it's not a "would" it is the new plot that Nomura has cooked up. Watch the way Aerith and Sephiroth interact at the end of the Midgar highway, they speak like 2 people who know way more about what's going on than anyone else in the room.

not him, but I have the same theory. I think Aerith will still probably die but maybe not under the same circumstances. She might willingly sacrifice herself or worse force cloud or somebody to kill her.
My assumption is that Sephiroth doesn't want her to die the way she did in the original ff7 because if that happens she summons Holy and Sephiroth doesn't want that to happen.

she's already dead, Remake is a sequel not a remake. Remake Aerith is the lifestream ghost Aerith from Advent Children. She is trolling the jannies just as much as Sephiroth is (mostly unintentionally, for example accidentally making Reno and Cloud fight in the church)
