Game of the Year 2021
Is kingmaker worth playing?
Yes.
Do you have any characters concepts ready for your first playthrough user? My first character will probably be just very basic elven swordsman from kyonin who just want to help with the crusade. Going either gold dragon or azata route.
Human Lawful Neutral Slayer, going legend because I'm too angry to die
Imagine how broken it'll be on release.
i dont think he is angry desu
Whats is the best heavy armor gish class for kingmaker?
Considering Eldritch scion, Magus, Eldritch Knight or Asmodeus Crusader
I am going for a LG Human male Slayer Gold Dragon, then probably a lich Wizard
this is the game i will need to play with both a fucking HERESY build and a fucking HOLY AVENGER build.
shit is cash
I'd go with either eldritch scion or magus, depending if you want int or cha build.
I want to still focus on melee
just enchant it with magic
I'm planning to end up as a Worm that Walks.
I think a true neutral spellcaster would fit that, or perhaps a lawful evil cleric worshiping a fitting god - but I have to wait and see what exactly WtW gives you.
If you want to actually use metamagic spell strikes and have a variety of spells, Strength Magus.
If you want to mostly have a prebuffed hack and slash machine with a few interesting choices in bloodline , go Scion.
If you want to play Cleric, it's better to get Heavy Armor on a normal one and have two good domains and more spells than playing Crusader. If you are going for melee, I'd suggest Abadar or Erastil.
In that case, either of those for sure.
I think swarm represents kind of ultimate evil, so evil character would probably fit best.
Yes but it's one of the harder Infity-style CRPGs that I've played. The amount of options and mechanics are staggering, encounters are rough, and it's very easy to fuck up your character or kingdom beyond saving. If you're new to the genre I'd honestly recommend Pillars or BG1 over it. Other than that, I'd probably say it's on par with BGII.
Swarm is Neutral or Chaotic evil mostly.
It's primal hate and hunger
Im considering Asmodeus so i can play as Lawful Evil chad.
Shame you cant make a hellknight or any other kind of LE paladin.
Iirc, they weren't gonna do any alignment limitations for the mythical paths..?
How do I into metamagic? I've never used it, can someone explain it to me because the game doesn't really explain much
Sword saint is the best gish in the game but they have no armor proficiencies.
You remember incorrectly. When you are, say , a lich, are not locked to just evil choices always. But you have to be non-chaotic and non-good to even start the path
I mean user, you're not getting a neutral good swarm. The dialogue and actions you'll have to take to become swarm or lich are by definition not good so you'll just have to work with that. That being said, the closest you can probably get is a neutral lich
You could always go LE crusader if you want an evil divine tank. The singular domain lose isn't that big of a deal if you aren't going to focus on casting.
Let's take extend metamagic.
You have Mirror Image that lasts 4 minutes and is a 2nd level spell.
You can cast an Extended Mirror image that will last 8 minutes, but you have to cast it as a 3d level spell.
Aka, the metamagic aspect adjust the level of the spell and you have to use the new spell slot (so a quickened lv3 spell becomes a level 7 one)
Ah.
Well, then I guess I'm going NE Cleric or Mage. Then on to the charming worms.
Haven't been keeping up and have not that much experience playing PnP PF beyond the early levels what are mythic paths?
It's a concurrent progression separate of your character level (so it's not levels beyond 20, it's unique abilities as you go from lv 1 to 20). Owlcat based them on creatures/outsiders instead of being 'archmage' and such.
If you want to go Doom Slayer, I wouldn't go Legend. It doesn't fit him. Also Doom Slayer is chaotic good, with emphasis on chaotic.
You will love it if it caters to your particular brand of rpg autism.
I WILL ROMANCE CAMELLIA AND YOU FAGGOTS CANNOT STOP ME!
Oh that sounds pretty interesting thanks. Have they announced all the mythic path options yet? I know I'll probably play another good/moral character of some sort so things like the traditional lich don't suit me.
Angel , Demon (these are always available by default).
Trickster, Azata, Lich, Aeon (these need sidequests and/or plot decisions to be unlocked)
Legend, Gold Dragon, Swarm that Walks (these are 'unlocked' after midgame, described as crazier than the rest)
The alpha has shown us a glimpse on abilities of Angel, Azata, Trickster, Lich and Demon, but not the rest.
Aside from gameplay options, all paths also have unique plot elements and interactions.
>wanna roll a character?
>here's the 4 books on basic classes, spells and combat mechanics
>sub classes not included, that's advanced stuff
why is pathfinder so insanely complicated?
