What are the games that changed you? The ones that had an influence on who you are. Maybe it's one that you grew up with and made you. Or maybe one that just spoke to you and changed you in some way.
It doesn't matter if the games are not even that good. It's about how they were able to touch you.
For me:
Halo 1 to Halo Reach
Far Cry 2 & 3
Soma
Dark Souls
What are the games that changed you? The ones that had an influence on who you are...
>Dark Souls
Did it change you into a tranny, bro?
>Dark Souls
show your girl (boy) pussy
>imagine people behind posts about being changed by a fucking video game
Arrested development is one of the biggest plagues these days
this picture would please that one guy on steam which made hundreds of female gore screenshots
or maybe not, it's too tame
Why not?
You can be moved by a painting, a movie, a song, a book... That is, if you don't have the sensitivity of a rock. So why not a video game?
But I guess Zig Forums isn't the place to talk about video games then. It's all about traps, anime girls and ranting aimlessly
people are unwilling to accept video games as art for some reason even though the sum of their parts contains art, like the gothic architecture in bloodborne and it's amazingly composed soundtrack
i think they are suggesting that catching feelings over a game in the sense of 'it changed you' means less that they have the sensitivity of a rock but rather you are the sort to have an emotional breakdown over a star wars trailer where whatsherface pegs the token black guy
It amazes me that even on a anonymous website, people still try to play tough and demonstrate they are manlier/smarter than you.
Bro, I don't even know who you are and vice versa
MGS2 and 3.
DMC3
video games as a medium are designed and marketed for braindead teenagers. You can appreciate music and art direction but as a whole it will never be something meaningful or touching. I go for niche stuff almost every time and I still consider it simple entertainment, there is nothing profound to be found in video games and people who think otherwise are just coping with their inability to consume something that requires actual effort and thinking on your behalf.
WoW in my high school years changed me into a bigger loser.

nah, most of them are, as are most movies, tv shows, and music, but, just like in the case of the aforomentioned, there are always exceptions to the rule
>silent hill
>metal gear solid 1 and 2
>sotc
>demon's souls
>stalker
>portal
guess I'm (mostly) a sonyfag but I think they genuinely got these ones right
if you think that that sort of behavior was going to be BETTER on an anonymous image board then you need to lurk moar.
it's all part of a slippery slope theory that suggests you aint going to be capable in a natural disaster due to a level of stoicism required that isnt frequently associated with getting especially emotional over anything period
Fuck yeah Silent Hill almost forgot that one. Especially the 2 for me
Imagine some guy posting about how his development in childhood was heavily informed by Independence Day or Underworld. It's fucking embarrassing. You mustn't be a whole lot if that's what made you.
so the average voter really
>cuck ending for coomies
Anyone who chose this ending is actually retarded
Terraria made me autistic.
The only thing I can think of is The Witcher 3's Toussaint. I grew up in something of a crime family. I'm also a schizcunt. Didn't really get away from it all until I was in my 20's. I'm a deceptively, immensely high-strung individual. The Witcher series was the one game series I really wanted to play above all else, but for reasons I couldn't. I eventually ended up playing through it to Blood and Wine the whole way from The Witcher over the course of like two and a half weeks. When I finally got to Toussaint I felt what was probably the most intense catharsis I have ever felt in my entire life. I honestly felt like I was gonna cry. It's reflective of my life, the games are. Every one of them was dark, harsh and unforgiving. I knew a little bit about the series, but I didn't know Blood and Wine, for everything wrong that happens in the story, was so bright. Not just in tone, but actually colorful. Kinda cringe, but them's the breaks.
Elder scrolls V changed me because I played it instead of learning for my exams

Demons's Souls's
Well, Tony Hawk's Underground made me take up skating as a teenager and ensured I didn't end up fat, so there's that.
Problem was, I lived in the countryside or Ireland, where smooth surfaces are rare and dry days are rarer. A new carpark might be built once every two years, and you had to skate the shit out of it before someone pulled a fucking truck into it, either tearing up the surface or bringing in more stones and grit than you could reasonably clear up.
MGS3 got me to spend more time in the woods, and DMC as a series weirdly gave me confidence/helped me not take myself so seriously, so there's that.
I don't know if a game has massively changed me as a person, but given me the motivation to make small differences. Okami helped me stop being a perfectionist with creative projects, and Death Stranding recently prompted me to bury the hatchet with my dad (and would probably have me on a hike into the far end of Scotland if not for the lockdown).
Petscop 2 when ?
