Crumble monthly thread

Hey, I'm a dev from /agdg/ and here's the latest webm progress of Crumble.
Covid didn't affect me whatsoever btw.

Started working on more "scripted" part of gameplay, not as scripted as sonic where you can put down the controller.

Made a series of cinematic shots to showcase the different world the player will play in, this will build up to a short trailer in the end.

Jungle then mountains

The slum world is a very new addition to the game, it replaces the giant tower I had before.

And finally the lava world

Game looks pretty good user - added it to my wishlist and subbed to the youtube channel.

Keep up the good work!

For real the game does look good - I don't know how to post to the thread without seeming like a shill. Good luck with your game user.

Thanks!

Pretty neat stuff. Do you have a release date?

Thanks, there's been a lot of recent good turn of events like being on the popular upcoming games on Steam and also being part of the Steam Summer Festival this June. So it keeps pushing the bar higher.

I'd say end of July I will have a finished product so hopefully I release it a month or two after that.

How does the game choose which object to grapple to in cluttered situations like this?

It will always chose to grapple forward when it's a cluster and if there's nothing forward then on the sides and lastly up and a bit back.
Sometimes I have to set manually what is preferable to grapple first to avoid frustration.

It's a feel thing.

Remade the home menu space shader thing too.

How did you get away with making Gooey the protagonist of your game?

I agree it's pretty similar, it's not really intended though.
There's multiple skin you can choose from and unlock.

This looks like a lot of fun. My only concern would be trying to make that transition into the spaceship more smooth, although I appreciate narrowly missing the door might be infuriating. You're the dev, you figure it out :^)

that looks pretty goood, good luck with your game user
Also, are you a one-man team or do you work with a proper group?

>writes journalist hit piece how you are tied to racist alt right Zig Forums
nothing personal kid

NO NO NOOOOO

Thanks, I'm a solo dev. I do everything myself even the sound.
