Civvie's videos have gone down in quality after he started playing games he's not an expert on. His Doom 2016 video was pretty disappointing and riddled with misinformation.
Also, his "fanbase" has become just like any other manic following. You can't criticize anything about any video without getting jumped by boomer drones who are foaming at the mouth while not providing any counterarguments.

I have tried to get into his videos multiple times but his fake edgelord vocal-fry narrator voice is so cringey that I can't do it. He should just become a voice actor at this point or use his real voice in his videos. His STALKER video was the worst when he suddenly started narrating like it was a diary entry, I couldn't stomach it.

Yeah he had his peak but it's all downhill. I don't say that with relish, but you're right. Decino covers Doom wads in exquisite detail, doing guides and walkthroughs for 100% UV and such. Civvie was always a casual fan of the games he loves.
