how so? in puyo puyo uncountered 3 chain can pretty much kill you so you have to constantly look at opponent's board and often react before the attack happens by building your chain in certain ways

its not perfect, but it is really good.

Everyone I was matched against destroyed me in no time. I don't mind being bad but match making should match me against people of equal skill.
That's a pipe dream for now.

I love this game, and have been wanting to play someone who isn't a Puyo Puyo God for a while.

Does anyone else deal with the problem that they can only sustain their skills for a certain amount of time in a single round?

it's all about who's able to spam more tetris and t-spins in a minute or who makes the huge misdrop first, the garbage going on bottom of the stack barely changes the way you play
the classic tetris 'pvp' is even worse because it's just straight up two single player games on one screen
you build your transition on top of your stairs with them
the fact that stairs have fairly restrictive pattern doesn't help but you have to start somewhere
after stairs come 2-1-1 and 1-1-2 sandwich patterns and by mixing them you can actually build something without huge amount of cleanup

If you're still learning fundamental patterns it's probably best to worry only about the first floor for now, even if you have to "dump" puyos on top (which works out most of the time, especially with stairs) or to one side. Get the stairs/sandwich patterns down so you can hit that 5-6 chain easily then move on to transitions/GTR.
