It's not Spring Man. My gut tells me it's Ribbon, but Min and Twin have just as good arguments. Twin gets around how Kirby is going to work plus she is a fan favorite and beloved by the developers. Meanwhile, so is Min Min, and she won the in game popularity contest plus has the most potential for a moveset since she also uses kicks and has that cool dragon arm gimmick. Both those women also had diversity to the cast, which I doubt matters but could count for something if Treehouse had input. Despite all that, Ribbon has the protagonist boost and the recognition factor. If it is none of those three, then it must be Brass. I know people want Helix or Coyle and I do too, but Max has the next most potential after those three girls just by virtue of what he can bring to the game through his personality and his gimmicks.

Rex is near guaranteed for a future Smash now. I could easily see him held back again, but he has every reason to be in the game.

I'd say Rayman is a certainty at this point. There happen to be enough coincidences similar to the lead up to Banjo over the past few months and unlike Banjo he already has had related content in the past two Smash games. Would be extremely easy to announce them alongside the ARMS characters since they both have stretchy limbs and the trailer pretty much writes itself. He would be a big enough E3 reveal as well, so the shoe fits.

And despite all the nay say, Geno is a very likely possibility. I'm 50/50 on him being included. I want him so bad and he is absolutely the last character in that original pack of never evers from pre-Brawl that included Ridley, Banjo and K. Rool, arguably Simon, Mega Man, Sonic and Pac Man too. But I just don't know. It really depends on how bad Nintendo and Sakurai want to please the fans. They've knocked it out of the park this far. I think the stars are definitely aligned for Geno to be in this pass.

The difference is that Spring Man was only an assist trophy because they didn't know they were going to add an ARMS character to Ultimate back in 2018. He's always been a completely different case from stupid shit like Waluigi that will never be playable.

If there is a new ARMS game, then it's one hundred percent Min-Min, and she'll just be the protagonist of that game with a new design which they'll use for Smash. That gets around the spirit problem.
