Games in your steam library that you've never played

My steam library is full of fantastic games. Some of which I haven't played. For example, I find myself replaying Fallout New Vegas whenever I'm in the mood but despite possessing Fallout 3, I can never get myself to play it. I am told that this is game is inferior to New Vegas and I'm afraid of having a lesser experience.

What should I do?

3 is okayish but New Vegas is better

play it with TTW

It's fun.

never go full backlog man, cleaning it up is satisfying but getting too into it sucks the fun right out of games entirely for at least a few weeks and you'll be needing a break. Speaking from experience.

A good way to slim down what you think your backlog is to look at every game you haven't played and honestly ask yourself:
a. Am I going to actually enjoy myself playing this?
b. Is it interesting enough to give it a chance?
If it's a no to both just drop the game and move on.
As for your issue of actually playing through the stuff, just fire something up sometime and tell yourself you'll play an hour and go from there, first step is always the hardest of anything so you just gotta fire it up and see if you enjoy it.
t. guy who has 525/560 games 'finished' on steam.

Ground Zeros will take you like 3 hours at most, and thats if you do all the extra missions.
Portal 2 is pretty short too, you could finish it in like 2-3 decent sessions.
All the Resident Evil games you got there are pretty approachable in length and they're all fun (except 0, dunno since I havent playedcit) so you can't really go wrong.
Pre-Sequel is the shortest BL game, so if you like those games already you can clear it pretty quickly.

it's honestly better if it's your first fallout.
Plot is shit but you'll probably get lost doing random stuff for fun and won't really care all that much about it and if it's your first fallout you wont have three games worth of lore shat upon.

I think it's a good introduction to fallout and rpgs, it's how i got into the series and actual rpgs as a whole, so there's that

Also, never forget the golden rule of backlog. Never force yourself to finish something, if it's just enjoyable or interesting just drop it and move on. Doesn't matter how many hours you've played, perhaps unless you're right near the end, but never be afraid to drop a game.

*if it's just not enjoyable or interesting

Thanks for the advice user.

I remember playing Fallout 3 on release. I never played any of the Fallout games before and I picked it up because I played Oblivion before.
I got as far as a few quests into Megaton before quitting. It just wasn't very interesting to me.
Got New Vegas on release, and I played the shit out of it. Setting, characters, weapons, etc were all more interesting to me. Still play New Vegas occasionally to this day.
I've only returned to Fallout 3 to complete it once since then, and it was okay but nowhere near as good as New Vegas for me.
Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild questlines from Oblivion are better than the entirety of Fallout 3 in my opinion.

This user is right. You don't have to finish every game in your backlog. You've most likely bought some stinkers in sales/bundles. If you're not feeling it after a couple of hours then just drop it (at least for the time being) and move on.

Tale of Two Wastelands? Looks interesting. If I am to start Fallout 3 I'm going to do it with this mod installed.

I got this and had to refund it because none of the fixes could get it to start without crashing
PC master race yay

yeah yeah, self stroking snob, your tastes are really magnificent and you deserve a medal for being such a good culturally enriched person.
If only you said anything other than what faggot around here say for internet points.

its old screenshot
i finished re1 both Jill and Chris
i already finished portal, only reason there are more hours is MP
i probably go back to GZ to 100% it
in meanwhile i 90% valkyria, i only miss 2 achievements

My advice when playing is to simply not travel to the Mojave when playing, as it messes up the pacing.

you sound like a zoomer desperate for Zig Forums's approval.

I was just describing my experience because it was relevant to the OP, I don't care about catering to the opinions of people on this site. Stop being delusional

Yeah, and it sounded genuine and real, to the point that if I searched hard enough I could find the same exact "opinion" in every thread fallout get mentioned.

Prove it or shut up retard. I was trying to tell OP that it was an okay game, while most people on this site would say they'd rather be shot than play Fallout 3.

1. Get borderless gaming or a mod that makes the game borderless
2. put on albums you want to listen to out of game, the radio ingame sucks
3. focus on side quests and exploring, just like in any other Bethesda title
To the game's credit, its sidequests are vastly more complex than New Vegas' "skill check skill check boom 200XP" structure

That doesn't mean it's a bad game lol. Just accept that there is no game as great as new vegas.
Fallout new vegas is 10/10
Fallout 3 is 8/10
(incels will reply to my post and state their shit opinion, but i don't care and neither you should.)

Do you guys know any sites which archive Zig Forums threads? Most likely this thread will die when I'm done with my research but ill be able to post it in the next thread fallout get mentioned

Yes

Thanks bud

>2. put on albums you want to listen to out of game, the radio ingame sucks
Dumbass there's lots of great songs.
Civilization, butcher pete, into each life some rain must fall, easy living, i don't want to set the world on fire, maybe, and all the instrumental ones.
When there's a song you don't like, just turn off the radio and enjoy the ambient music

>words words words they're all good dumbassssss
do everyone a favor and lobotomize yourself

personally out of that I'd play nier automata right now, or you could wait for the nier 1 remake then play nier automata. Auto works by itself but having some of the context from the original does add to it.

Dangaronpa 2 and 3 are pulpy fun. Metro 2033 and last light are bangers tho. I'd honestly drop Shadow Warrior 2 personally.

Np :)
