I was actually thinking about giving it a go, but trying to get the controls right is a pain in the ass, not even in the sense that I can't figure out a button layout that suits me, but I can't figure out how to make it so both the analog stick and the D-Pad handle movement. I get that it's probably designed with stick in mind, but I'm not going to buy a stick and learn to play with it just for this game I'm not even sure if I would like yet. I can't even figure out my opinion on it before I figure out how to make it comfortable to control.

I tried this out because of all the threads recently and I wish I tried out Melty earlier in my life because this game is sick. It's hard to get my head around reverse beats because it just doesn't feel natural but stuff just works

You gotta find other people and share IP's. If you want to matchmake you'll probably just want to stay with steam version.

I actually just started playing last week after being annoyed at UNICLR netplay. Picked up F-PCiel and C-Ciel. Been having a blast so far. Even tried to play on my shitty laptop's wifi and it worked perfectly.

Peripherals do not matter in fighting games. At all.

The game is about blood with a nice cheesy consistency, so that when people get cut, it's like a nice mozzarella stick

I read Tsukihime and Kagetsu tohya and now I'm learning Red Arcueid because I now love the setting.

Side note Tsukihime is better if you skip the sex scenes they suck.

Of course you could, but I've been playing fighting games on a pad my whole life, it's what I'm comfortable with. I'm not saying it would be impossible for me to learn to play with something else, I'm saying I'd rather play with what I like playing with which is not keyboard. That people can and do do combos on DDR mats and things like that doesn't change that people have their own preferences and their own peripherals that they're comfortable playing with.

I already said what the issue with that is, it only accepts directional inputs from the D-pad or the stick and I want it to accept inputs from both.

it's been a blast messing with just the cpu, i enjoy ciel and ryougi although i'm not particularly good at fighters to begin with.
i'll eventually have to make a discord or something if i eventually want to play with others
