Because it wouldn't be Sakura Wars anymore. What's the point of making a sequel or a new game on a classic series if you're going to turn it into something that belongs to a completely different genre?

That's 99% of the Sakura Wars fanbase in the west. Because they watch HASHIRE videos on Youtube and watched reruns of the 2000 anime adaptation they believe they're hot shit.

It's a fan-made translation of the very first Sakura Wars game. Start from there and find if you like the concept or not.

If you don't read Japanese just emulate the first game with the english translation and call it quits. After that you have better things to play.

The thing that makes me laugh the most is that Zig Forums says that Sakura Wars 2019 would be commercially successful if it used Valkyria Chronicles' gameplay, when all the Valkyria Chronicles games were massive commercial failures both on the west and Japan (barring the PC port of 1 and that was due to being cheap as shit or being sold as part of the Humble Bundle).

I doubt it but is one of the original ports more lenient with time for answers? Or maybe a mod for the PC version to remove the limit completely?
I've tried playing the psp version but I can't read Japanese fast enough. By the time I've parsed the answers the timer is almost out. Not to mention if I need to look something up.

I guess I could try emulating one of the console ports and just pause but I'd rather play it native than deal with emulators.
