I'm not sure what he is user, got any examples of what he's based around? That might help me connect better with him.

Legends has been a blast so far, love the slapstick quality and how forgiving the reloads are after death. I wouldn't rush to get other ones as I only got Legends recently but if a new game came out I'd be interested.

Rayman legends is still better than any other 2D platformer i've ever played

He's literally is meant to be a "thingamajig". He's nothing more than, as of Origins, ray beams of light manifested into a living being without limbs.

Design wise he's nothing more than how Frenches liked to draw cartoons back in the day.

Legends, I don't have much to say that hasn't been said already but I was sold once I saw the Eye of the Tiger music level. Only sin is that there weren't more of them in the extra world, only one and then 8-bit versions of the 6 of them.
If they did a 4-5 minute long one with design on par with the Land of the Livid Dead in Origins it would be the best level hands down

I like Rayman 2 but I lost my game save and I don't know if I have the courage to restart it with so much of it fresh in my memory. I haven't played any of the others. Should I go with Origins? The original?

It's not even going to exist.

Both are different games entirely based on gameplay and argubly story alone. Despite the name, Origins is "meant" to take place after Rayman 3 but it was originally meant to be the true "original" Rayman game that is either a reboot of the first game or a prequel to it. Either way, lore aside, they play entirely different where the first game plays like a standard platformer of the 90s but starts of kinda slow because your ability to run (yes, ability to run) is given to you by Betilla midway into the game. It's fun but also really casual filter tier and will rip your ass a new one if you don't keep up with the difficulty.

Origins is like Fancy Pants Adventures if you played that before. Kinda of mix of Sonic and other platformers into one, with some combat thrown in. I liked Origins and some of Legends( because I just didn't have the urge to play more of Legends outside of enjoying Barbara) but otherwise I'd rather play the 3D Rayman games over them, but if I had to pick for 2D Origins/Legends would be far more accessible than the first game if you're not into having your balls busted open by the likes of Space Mama.

My altime favorite location in Rayman is the Land of the Livid Dead in Rayman 3. Most beautiful location out of all Rayman sans the first game.

I want the next Rayman game to have Rayman go into Space. Just image. That or a more tropical resort kind of local would be nice.

I remember some video predicting a Rayman game in space but that was about a year or so ago

I just hope Ubisoft is more supportive of fan games like SEGA, rather than spewing out DMCAs left and right like Nintendo.

I thought the Legend’s princess characters were good

The utter fuckery Ubi pulled with that half-year delay pisses me off to no end.

I would have liked them to be a little more different than just recolors, but their designs are fun. I just wish previous characters could be added back to the series, I'd love to see all kinds of wacky interactions.

I have a Rayman game on Gamecube that I used to play a long time ago. I explicitly remember there being levels where you had to skate along rails with trippy scenery and disco sounding music. Didn't exactly know how to get past them, so I just kept moving around and hoping for the best.

I love Barbara. I don't care too much for the others. There's too many of them so they end up sort of blending together. Maybe if there was only one for each kingdom they could have made them a bit more unique.

What about Rayman 2? That game is timeless
