It doesn't need to be Devil May Cry quality (to be fair, that's a very high bar to reach); it just need to be a genuinely fun and challenging game to play.
There are indie action games that are pretty good; if Senran 7 manages to be a solid game on its own (one that I would feel compelled to play even if it didn't have anime tits) I would give it a chance.
