NEVER FORGET!
NEVER FORGET!
no one gives a fuck, that's why your thread is gonna die
I really miss how visceral Rome's combat was, instead of the modern floaty shit we have nowadays
SOULESS
SOUL
They just didn't give a shit about Rome 2 for some reason. Half-assed it out the ass.
how can Attila cucks cope with being BTFO this hard»
Warscape engine was a mistake, it fucking sucks
Attila was just an expansion pack that CA managed to sell at full price
my boy, look how they massacred my boy...
I hear Rome 2 is a lot better than it was at launch but is it still shit?
Most of the bugs are fixed, but Warscape engine: < Rome 1 & Medieval 2's engine:
The only way substantial way that Rome 1 gameplay could have been improved was the maps. The ridiculous 400 ft trees and the same towns over and over again were bad.
Poorly thought out feature creep makes for a trash game.
I still can't believe CA managed to fuck up the testudo formation in Rome 2
Absolutely. You can't polish a turd.
They knew that because it was Rome II it would sell like hotcakes irregardless of quality. That or they just weren’t expecting how difficult it would be to make a follow up to Rome total war in the warscape engine.
Will this flop like Thrones of Britannia?
Could anything flop like Thrones of Britannia?
It'll likely be subpar like Three Kingdoms.
Poor guys on the sides with their bodies exposed to arrows.
i have never played a total war game but i read about greek mythology alot so im hoping that will draw me into this game
anyone willing to explain how are they going to make a full game out of 10 year siege that features mostly divine shenanigans and heroic duels?
Most of Greece was on either side of the Trojan war.
But we can still expect sea peoples, amazons and everything else they can get away with adding to the mix.
Somehow I totally missed that CA announced this. Looks like ass though
How many Charlemagnes will this cost?
it's boring and full of constrains in gameplay, but most of NuWar is like that
All threads will die.
>Momento Mori
The same way they made Three Kingdoms and Warhammer. Big focus on hero units. Achilles, Odysseus, Ajax, Paris, Hector, so on.
I barely played R1, so never saw this. It was something I thought for a long time the TW series needed to have as part of the forever-quest to continually keep improving the series. Clearly something went wrong as I didn't see it in Med 2 and then fucking Warscape came after.
So after almost ten years of almost constant progress, we have now had almost ten years of Total War being virtually static with flashy gimmicks failing to fill the void made by good features that have already been stripped-out.
That's what Creative Assembly hopes too; they have nothing going for them any more but hype and gimmicks. The feature-depth and on-going improvement that used to define this series is all but gone now. They appeal to a 'broader audience' that like arcade-style battles apparently that are over in minutes. Shame the new audience isn't as loyal as the dedicated fans were.
