Guess they don't care about making handheld games anymore
>Guess they don't care about making money
ftfy
>Making money
>on the shits
Only Nintendo game sell pretty decent. Also LITERALLY every game has to be downgraded into oblivion to be "playable".
>native 1080p
not gonna happen maybe around 600p if we are lucky
>60 fps
KEK. Even 30 fps is nearly a miracle
>good looking game
KEK. Everything has to be downgraded, simplified, and it's all about tricking you if you want to release anything that is more than a mobile game.
If Capcom would be on the Shits they would be bankrupt. Even the PS4 Pro has shit hardware and the Shits is not even a fraction of the PS4 Pro.
>B-But muh portability
Who in the hell uses a gaming device portable? Kids will break portable devices and adults have better things to do on the go than BING BING WAHOOOOOOOOOO.
Because Nintendo Hardware is lazy and weak as shit.
>>Guess they don't care about making money
They made even more money ever since they abandoned Nintendo lmao
Switch can’t run their games, Nintendo needs to stop making weak garbage systems
>meanwhile, MHW sold over 20 million copies and the expansion alone sold more than any previous MH title
The Switch just can't run the games they make, company dramafags
They made tons of kamige for the 3DS (gaist crusher god, ex troopers, monster hunter stories, dai gyakuten saiban, mhxx, etc) but forgot to localize it or it bombed so they're still mad about it and believe the business is back at the big consoles now
They don't make a lot of money on nintendo systems. Especially now since mhworld is outdoing any of the nintendo monster hunters.
>and believe the business is back at the big consoles now
and they bet on the right horse. I can guarantee you that XX/GU wouldn't have bombed if it was released on a proper console
Why don't japs like the switch?
I really hope they make a proper sequel mh stories for the switch. That game needs another chance now that monster hunter is more mainstream.
Capcom only likes jewing people out on their terms. Nintendo is already neck deep in that kikery by forcing players to buy DQ XI twice over to get the full experience of the game
Oh they do, have you seen the switch sales in japland? The thing about MH is that fans will follow where ever it goes as long as its accessible. The reason why MHXX particular bombed is because it was heavily casualized (much more than MHW) and there was no difficulty at all due to the addition of MMO-style abilities and styles. Plus this was the game japs realized they had enough of rehashes, forcing Capcom to stop rehashing and make MHW with new assets.
Even if they never added these styles and abilities, MH games started to look and play the exact same by 4U so they had to stop using PS2 assets
Shitch a shit that is why
every third party hates the switch, no one wants to dedicate entire teams to port for the switch just because its hardware is so bad
porting is fine as long as its not current gen games.
oh boy, decade old games I can run better on toaster PCs!
Nintentoddlers are such annoying shits holy fuck, most games that Capcom worked on since 2017 that weren't released on the Switch either were mobile trash or games that the Switch can't handle, everything else did eventually get ported to the Switch
you realize that this litterally proves you wrong, right? AAA ports for PC are made to run on hardware weaker than the switch. There is no excuse.
>AAA ports for PC are made to run on hardware weaker than the switch
wrong, even the shittiest pre-builts you can grab off the shelf at best buy are more powerful than the switch
Fuck the switch it has godawful hardware
Why does capcum hate Lost Planet so much?
They don't like being inferior to nintendo.
>Who in the hell uses a gaming device portable?
Something like over 500 million people in the last 30 years
Japs like the Switch. Jap devs, on the other hand, do not.
>Why does capcum hate Lost Planet so much?
blame Inafune. He's actually the reason why DR, Lost Planet, and Onimusha is dead. Capcom's slowly trying to revive the IPs beginning with Onimusha, but DR and LP are still in the dark
Go look up who produced LP3
>AAA ports for PC are made to run on hardware weaker than the switch
I dare you to find a PC being sold right now that's as weak as the switch
they are probably still pissed about the Nintendo gamecube.
Okay but why can't they make some cheap handheld games (ie Ace Attorney) and make even more money on top of what they're already making?
It's probably nothing so melodramatic as that. It's probably more that it's specs are out of line of with its software goals and they aren't interested enough in paying for production exclusive to the Switch.
they could do that and sell under a million or they could continue to make games like RE, DMC, and MHW which sell millions
Why not both?
because that's a drop in the bucket compared to making games on actual hardware. Why waste dev time on something that wouldn't sell even a million compared to DMC, RE, and MH?
>forced nintendo do go with 4GB ram instead of 2 on the switch
>dropped support anyway
fucking based
limited resources
Despite not making much for the Switch, Capcom's 2nd most shipped console is the Switch.
they ported the first onimisha game and I feel like they already abandoned the idea
They are just lazy. Imagine something like Megaman Battle Network on Switch.
I hope this isn’t the reason why we still don’t have Ace Attorney 7
Too busy making generic over the shoulder remakes that are worse than the original and casualized asset flips
not saying much when the xbox doesn't exist
AA takes basically zero resources to make. It's a point and click VN.
They always port a game of a dormant IP to see if there is any interest like RE and DMC. Too bad that didn't work out for Onimusha so that's fucked
>it is the second o e out of two consoles
it is also less than half of what they have on ps4
don't even count the xbone as a serious console competitor this Gen.
Well duh.
realized that they just need to port old games to make money
imdb.com
these are all the people you'd have to pay for years, or you can use that money on games that sell outside the switch
AA is an AG not a VN.
When you consider that their major big exclusives (MHW, RE2RE, RE3RE, RE7, and DMCV) all came out on the Xbox and the newest game capcom released on the Switch was MM11, it's important to note.
No one would buy XBox for Japanese games.
no, it isn't. You can easily port from ps4 to xbox and vice versa so it's not a factor, xbox/ps4 (and to a lesser extent PC) are combined from a development standpoint vs the switch which needs an entire separate team to make possible.
The anime VAs there are a hell of a lot cheaper than they actors they mocapped for DMC 5.
>laptop
>2017
>CPU; i5 7200U
>GPU; 2GB Nvidia Geforce 920MX
>RAM; 8GB DDR4 CL15 2133mhz
>SSD; 250GB Samsung Evo 850
not only is this not a PC or one from 2020, it's more powerful than the switch
the only important thing it shows is that shit sells on ps4 and porting their shit the the switch might be worth it but probably takes some resources since the hardware is so different.
