Is this game any good?
Is this game any good?
I love Evie.
there are definitely better assassins creed over all the franchise is pretty mediocre, black flag is better but syndicate it by no means a bad game
For me it's black flag
probably my favourite ass creed
Yes. Brainless open world activities once a year is actually pretty decent. Not every game has to be a masterpiece.
Ass creed is casual fun but it's casual fun that won't piss you off like CoD multiplayer would
It's tedious, and boring.
Assassins creed is really an awful franchise, with a few exceptions that were borderline ok.
Ill never understand what the appeal is.
The conceit is that its historic fantasy, and that these events actually happened in this fantasy world, but they drop any pretense of historical accuracy as soon as they finish designing the environment. The clothes, events, actions, combat, characters, are all so far away from anything that could be considered grounded, that i have to wonder why they even bother with the pretense?
Outside of that, the combat is formulaic and generic. Side activities are tedious, and do nothing to provide a reward that makes them worth your time.
And worst of all, the free running is on rails. You have a grappling hook, and you just dart up and down buildings mindlessly.
Nothing you do in this game has any wieght or substance, and it is a compete waste of time.
>Ill never understand what the appeal is.
Guy in a trench coat doing tactical espionage gameplay with some cool boat mechanic gameplay on the side and a few historical figures thrown into the mix.
Fresh reminder that AC Odyssey started the trend of ARPG where you're allowed to choose the dialogue options, which is obviously against the established rules of the purpose of Animus. That feature will be back again in AC Valhalla and there's nothing you can do about it because people are still going to buy it.
AssCreedfranchise' lifespan is numbered. Your franchise is going to either continue with this direction or a death coffin. Vote with your wallet
Me too. Shame she got POOED
Odyssey is not an Assassin's Creed.
You're a fucking retard man. Obviously it's you the player choosing the dialogue options and not the character in the animus. Someone in the animus would just be watching the dialogue like normal. It's so fucking intuitive it doesn't even need explaining you single digit IQ motherfucker.
If you really wanted to nitpick, you'd do it over the game the thread is about since the animus obviously wouldn't let you see the memories of siblings since they are divergent genetic lines unless Fryecest is canon anyway
Nobody cares about new games and if they do that's fine. I like 2 and Black Flag and that's my fill of the series.
Probably my favourite setting in the series.
Game has the best gameplay of the old AC system
The beginning of skills changed the pace and keeps you getting new things to play with all the way to the end of the story
The twins are British assassins who constant speak through banter which is fun
Story is alright with sorta relevance to the actually of story but not really, piece of eden in this game was confusing
It's a good pick up especially if it's cheap
>Last optional Darwin mission
>He's withering on a bed
>Supposed to carry him to a carriage
>I somehow manage to carry him to train tracks
>Drop him on the rails
>Train comes
>Runs him over
>He's still alive
Ubisoft pls nerf he's too OP.
Nowadays it's a videogame animus anyway.
You're obviously a fan of the series.
It's literally a game by committee. It is a truly soulless product designed to the smallest minutia, to appeal to the broadest, lowest common denominator audience.
You care far more about creating justifications for this lazy product then anyone making this game did about the entire game.
You are the mobs of mindless drones that keep dumping money into this husk of a franchise. You are the faggot.
How?
>sneaking through enemy bases
>assassinating political leaders left and right
>(literally) unmasking a conspiracy
>ties to modern day
>tons of first civilization lore
Really? Choosing your dialogue is what will kill Assassin's Creed? That's where you draw the line?
that's not how the Animus works you fucking mongoloid
as the player of the game, you're not supposed to choose the dialogues. We're supposed to just fucking relive, not fucking up the causalities by making meta decisions
>It is a truly soulless product designed to the smallest minutia, to appeal to the broadest, lowest common denominator audience.
News flash, buddy. That's all video games. Passion projects don't exist when you're working with 200 other people with funding from a giant corporation.
Yeah, because the dialogues matter. They're all important as every little details of them are meant to be a path to PoEs
>They're all important as every little details of them are meant to be a path to PoEs
Why wouldn't dialogue options actually expand upon that?
what do you mean? please provide an example
natural selection baby
What decisions are canonical in Odyssey?
Extra information about the pieces of eden (?) can be discovered by asking certain people certain things based on previous conversations or choices that indicate they might know more than they let on. It'd give you more reason to get to know characters better and pay attention for some hidden meaning.
I cared about AC up until Revelations. I got 3 and despised that game. Never bought another one of these games since.
Get Black Flag. It's literally the only good AC.
He can't keep getting away with this!
I'm not a fan of the naval combat shit. Ezio trilogy was literally peak AC for me.
What Ubisoft games are worth playing? I've got UPlay+ for the next two weeks.
Rayman Origins & Legends
Assassin's Creed The Ezio Trilogy
Far Cry Trilogy
Far Cry Blood Dragon
Uno
You need to move on, user..
no...
Why would you say that...
who's the in-game writer?
i remember in ass creed 2, B and R and 3 they had a cocky british character writing it all down
That's a good way to put it. For more experienced posted is too casual but it's still fun. Like a guilty pleasure
Game only has two writers
>Corey May
>Jeffrey Yohalem
sorry i mean the in-game like a npc canonically writing all that stuff down
or did they remove that after 3?
I think so, yeah.
He's back in Syndicate. His name was Shaun.
the guy on the left
he wrote some pretty funny stuff insulting Americans since he was british
do future assassins creed games do that
oh cool, i guess what im saying is if that npc who wrote that stuff about karl was a sassy type who hate people like that it would make sense
though that one screenshot saying that the devs added woman in a classroom where woman werent allowed is bullshit
based
OH that insufferable douchebag yeah he's in Syndicate so I guess he writes that
I think you mistook Animus with Source Code from the movie under the same name. Taken from the wik, it says:
>Rutledge explains that the Source Code is an experimental machine that reconstructs the past using the dead passengers' residual collective memories of eight minutes before their deaths.
Animus doesn't work like this. It doesn't reconstruct the past where it fully calculates every causalities until the user find the right variable to get to the objective. Animus simply relives the memory segments that focuses primarily on the dialogues. You only control the variable of actions that are similiar with the original memory segments, except dialogues.
>You can die over and over again
>You collect miniture flags just lying around.
There are animus breaking shit everywehre user
