It already has a remake, Darkside Chronicels is a thousand times better than CVX, it makes Claire, Steve and Chris beautiful, gives them all a better personality, the combat isn't pure shit and you can actually see the "Let me live" logo on Claire's back.

But it has the worst Alexia. Other than that, though, I did like what Darkside Chronicles did to the Code Veronica story. Be that as it may, DSC “remade” RE2 as well, and that got a full on remake last year. I have my doubts about a CV remake existing (and I’m even fearful over what changes it’ll inevitably have), but having a section in DSC wouldn’t necessarily preclude it from getting its own full game remake.

DCS RE2 seems to be the canon version. Fragments of it appear in the movie Degeneration which is canon and Sherry mentions Leon protecting her with Claire. Leon and Claire in the Remake barely interact and Leon only finds Sherry at the very end, and in the original he doesn't protect her neither.
Still you're right that if they felt like it, they would remake it again since DCS works more as a retelling with better graphics and a new modern gameplay.
I still prefer DCS Alexia, I hated how she acted 40 in the original, I supose people didn't like her killing Alfred but if they remake it, that's the way they are going, they are not going to want to show an 11 yers old locked for 15 years waking up to touch her brother while naked.
Remember that all personailty changes that DCS and other games made stuck, Claire in RE2 and CV is an asshole, while now because of all the changes in the RE2make and all other games she's cheerful and happy. Same with Ada being more femme fatale and secretive instead of "oh i'm here for my boyfriend bye".

Eh? She just acted cool and mature, and she was 27 at the time (12 + 15 = 27). She wasn’t a normal girl who underwent cryostasis, she was a super genius who graduated from a prestigious university at 10 and immediately got hired by the criminally unethical Umbrella. I cannot see the Alexia in DSC as a super genius, while I can easily buy that CV Alexia was one.
If they remake Code Veronica and use the DSC version of Alexia, I’m dropping this franchise like a hot potato. The Ashford twins are by far my favorite characters and I’ll be damned if I’m gonna take another bastardization of their relationship lying down.

Being a genius doesn't involve being calm and mature. She was extremely smart, but also she was spoiled, had her obedient dumb brother as her sex toy to manipulate, etc etc. I can picture her more as a huge entitled brat rather than someone calm and mature.

I honestly don't want one if RE3 is any indication of the direction they'll take with it. They'll probably even screw up RE4 somehow even though they've shown they can do linear shit with setpieces.

I guess this just comes down to a matter of opinion, then. For the record, as much as I’m not fond of it, I could’ve lived with her little girl voice and bratty personality had she not killed Alfred. That’s the biggest source of my ire with her DSC portrayal, along with the fact that in CV Alfred was never responsible for waking her up, only making sure she was safe in the capsule. It was on an automated timer. I have no idea why DSC changed that.
