What do you think of Alisa?
I like that it's designed to support CRTs.
What do you think of Alisa?
I saw the trailer. It has a lot of genuine creativity and I'm looking forward to playing it. The dev said they've been developing the game on a CRT
The first survival-horror game I've been honestly excited of after the cancellation of Silent Hills.
Hot damn this looks cool.
Wow, an actual good indie game. Hope this will get a lot of attention.
If this game didn't actually look good I would assume this is all the creator praising his own game but this game does its style so well that I can tell it's genuine praise.
ok dev
I've been a sucker of classic survival-horror games since RE1 dropped originally, and this is honestly the first game I know to fully embrace and replicate that style.
Many indie fags use ""low poly"" looks as a crutch to cut corners, but anyone who knows even basics of art-directing can tell that a lot of effort was put into Alisa's visuals.
Rendering at 240p with a dither filter definitely helps.
soul
A disproportionate amount of the greatest games ever made ran at 240p with no anti aliasing and pixel perfect user interface assets
It does, but the base work underneath NEEDS to be solid as fuck.
What do you guys think of The Regressor? I wish he'd render all of his stuff at 240p but I think he's become fantastic at what he does.
a faggot and if you like it your a faggot too
dont @ me faggot
I sent this to my autistic friend and he got sad because it scared him.
He's so cute. I hope he gets a girlfriend who really loves him someday.
Looks interesting but I feel like there's something missing from making it fully authentic, if that's their goal anyway. Are the environments pre-rendered or something?
I'm playing Silent Hill right now and it doesn't look like this aside from the models.
It's suppose to resemble Resident Evil, not Silent Hill
>Are the environments pre-rendered or something?
Obviously, dummy. It's channeling classic Resident Evil, blatantly.
Oh, alrighty then
never played those
There's quite a few good indie games. But I can't think of any in the past year or so.
99.9% of them are lazy garbage.
Oh, well they're pretty good, you should download the isos
>Add horrific banding
>uh dude it's made for CRTs
That's gif compression dummy lol
There's banding in the webm too though, most notably from the lamps in two of the cuts. None of the scenes in the webm have shimmering lights like in those gifts so you'll have to post more to convince me otherwise.
is this a front misison cutscene?
>never played those
...but you're playing the best clone of theirs?
You got your order backwards!
it's Racing Lagoon
>clone
Is it? Isn't RE more about action and shootan?
It's weird how the overworld for a racing game is so comfy That alone could be its own game and be enjoyable.
Only 3 and veronica are really. It also looks like the girl in this game has a handgun and a shotgun so this is about shootan too,
>That baby monster that just came out
but OP's game is way more like Clocktower
>Isn't RE more about action and shootan?
Dunno if bait, but no. The CLASSIC Resident Evils are puzzle-heavy adventure games at heart, and Silent Hills are literal RE-clones, through and through. They just put less focus on item management.
No, it's not. Have you watched a single gameplay video? Of course not.
>Only 3 and veronica are really
You mean 4 and up, no?
