It actually did. I had to buy a guidebook to beat it and am still mad about it.
Did you not have gamefaqs?
I remember I saw something in Nintendo Power talking about this
I didn't have a computer
Desmume has a button for closing down the DS in the intended way
i did this by mistake. i was waiting for a safe point to close my DS and when I opened it up, i was done.
>spent a whole hour trying to figure out what to do
>get frustrated and close the DS to figure it out later
>hear weird sound when closing the DS and re-open it
>pissed that that was the answer
Same lmao
Quick rundown
>playing on emulator
>have no idea how to solve it this time
>minimize emulator window to swap to web browser to look it up
>suddenly get a really dumb idea to try, bring emulator window up
>solved
>The map in this dungeon has where the next thing we need is
>But this map is different than ours and we need to copy it somehow
>NPC hints that taking a break might be the answer
>Closing the DS stamps the green orb onto your bottom screen map for where to go next
The similar one in Trace Memory was worse, I stopped playing in that segment and it wasn't a year later I restarted the game when I found out by accident
They give you a hint that you have to 'press' the map, but given this was a game with a touch screen, that threw me off even harder until I just closed it and stumbled upon the answer
Literally everyone solved this accidentally
Bro the freakin candles that ypu had to blow on
I don't think I ever once "closed" my ds without turning it off first. Thank god I didn't care for zelda.
Fuck me, this is the one that had me stumped for a long time. One day in the school bus one of my friends started screaming at my DS when he was trying to figure it out, I took it back, sighed, and the candles went off.
>taking your handhelds to school
I liked this game more than Windwaker.
>Not playing Pokemon at school
>Not playing Dissidia
>Not taking your portable devices places
Why not, user?
My school wouldn't let us
something something not our responsibility if it gets stolen
I could never get the crane arm price lowered by snapping my fingers for the mic. Shit just never worked for me.
I took my DS to school to left a cute korean girl play it
>start playing Phantom Hourglass on a whim
>the first threads about it I've ever seen on vee pop up
>that one old guy tells you to scream into the mic
>you're later mocked and told you could have just blown air into the mic for the same effect
I loved this fucking game.
IT WAS THE ONLY THING I HAD TO LOOK UP I WAS SO PISSED
happens to me with a lots of games
i guess you just dont ever notice until youve been playing a game and its easily recognizable
>he didn't take his link cable to school and be the super awesome kid that let everyone trade pokemon
Literally the only accomplishment I've ever had in life.
Zig Forums is always watching you
I liked replaying the final boss sequence. Possibly my favorite.
My favorite part is that afterwords they’re say something like “you didn’t actually yell into they mic, right? You know you can just blow into the microphone, loser”
