>Defeat "Final" Boss
>Discover even scarier true final boss who's behind everything
What other games do this?
Defeat "Final" Boss
Every fucking JRPG since the late 90s
>bro just go through an entire dungeon and fight a boss in one day without regaining sp
who the fuck thought that was a good idea?
Final Fantasy 3, 4, 9, 10
izanami is best girl
>Not having hermit at rank 10
Your own fault
>playing through P5 nearing the end
>finally, a down to earth plain evil villain mastermind manipulating the shadowverse for his own gain
>defeat Shido
>lol nope, here's god again
Welp, starting to think the memes were right. Any JRPG that breaks this trope?
persona 1
For what it's worth Royal fixes this
Just play Nocturne, at least you know from the beginning a god is the bad guy.
Necron wasn't behind shit he was just a result
Asura's wrath
I did not expect spider fren to betray me like that. What a fucking great game, it was shit, REALLY shit (objectively) but it was still one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played.
Wild Arms 2. True final boss is the being possessing you, trying to take control when you're at the weakest 1 vs 1.
Bonus points for battle theme being the remix of the first OP. My kid self was overhyped as fuck.
You knew you had to fight Yu Yevon before you even go inside Sin.
>"Defeat" final boss
>Credit roll
>Lol just kidding faggot
What games do this?
dkc
Borderlands 3
>tfw wanted that so hard to be the case for ffix because it was short
>game ends after winning
Ameno-Sagiri was a better final boss. Also, The Almighty is the best song in all of Persona, as well as the whole Megaten franchise.
Not exactly a final boss, but discovering the truth about the death of the protag's brother in ao no kiseki really caught me by surprise
user, you should've been able to single day dungeons already.
Kid Icarus Uprising.
>Huh, okay I beat Medusa guess that was the end. The game was short, but it was fun. 8/10.
>Hades says fuck you, and cuts through the credits, reveals himself as the big bad.
>Just kidding you got through the worst part of the game. Hades and Viridi make it 10/10.
Witnessing it for the first time without being spoiled was the best part.
Hades is probably the best "villain", Nintendo has ever created. It's a shame that we won't see an Uprising port/sequel anytime soon.
I refuse to believe anybody is that bad.
Every single JRPG and isekai manga has been influenced in some way by dragon quest.
her eyes aren't level
are you ok
This. I'd have been more ok with Yaldaboth if his motives weren't the exact same as Izanami No Okami (thinking that humanity no longer wants free will and trying to take over their control)
then explain to me how im supposed to go through a whole dungeon without using sp?
Conserve your SP and use SP recovery items only when necessary.
Hint: Invigorate 3.
I was pretty satisfied with the game after finishing Medusa. I thought it was kinda short but meant to be replayed over and over on harder difficulties but that twist really caught me off guard. I'm pissed he wasn't at least a boss or something in Smash Ultimate so we could've gotten more from his character.
Fuck you, Izanami was based as fuck. Her entire plan was to introduce Shadows to the real world just to force everyone to either gain a Persona or fucking die.
Could you imagine how strong humanity would be when the only people who get to live are Persona Users?
Western game that did this, mid battle no less.
adding a dumb bonus boss afterwards isnt a fix you retarded weeb lmao
better murderer than akechi
Nonono I like Izanami a lot, I was just pointing out that I didn't like Yaldaboth that much despite his cool design and tone leading to his fight because his motives are mostly the same as hers when it came to the whole "god deciding for humanity" thing.
The fight with Alexander should have been the last one desu, they should have made it longer and more intense, fuck bracus rex
It's not just a boss afterwards you inept shit for brains, it's the culmination of an entirely new character arc that was seamlessly inserted into the main game and played up throughout it. You'd know this if you spent time actually playing video games instead of shitposting on Zig Forums about things you know nothing about.
I feel The Fog its very good but doesn´t stand over the Almighty, maybe equal. Genesis is also good but i get its build up its too long for a second phase battle. The Anime remix of I will Face Myself they used for Marie´s dungeon battle its fucking great tho.
