The huge outdoor levels of CE are really great and I missed them in 2. Silent Cartographer is solid and AotCR's canyons are fucking cool.

2 is worst in every way and Joe Staten's writing sucks.

i like 1's multiplayer much more, it was faster, had a deeper meta, and a lower time to kill.
I never saw the appeal of competitive halo though, for me, it was a great social game where i would play at lan party's and for the fun campaigns.
