It disappeared into the Epic Game Store wormhole. As soon as a game is announced as an EGS exclusive it almost instantly disappears from the public's consciousness and never really reappears, even once it comes out on Steam.

Wanted to play this game so fucking bad, I got really disappointed in seeing this was an epic games exclusive. I'm not one of those "THIS IS SPYWARE REEEe" people, I just have so many games on one launcher already that I don't want to break my library up when it comes to PC games. Maybe I'll buy it for my ps4, but I really wanted this on PC.

People stopped caring about it because they didn't advertise it beyond one major trailer years before it release, and then people forgot it existed.

There hasn't been anything on EGS that's convinced me to download it yet and from what I heard of others' experiences, Maneater isn't the game either. I might've bought it if I already had EGS or if it had been launched on Steam, but I'm not going to bother downloading EGS and supporting their exclusivity shenanigans just to play shark game.
