They shouldn't have gotten the original team to remake it. They should have gotten extremely dedicated autistic fans to make the remake.
Imagine having worked 3 years non-stop slaving on a project and then being told you have to make the exact same project again with no changes when you really just want to move on to new stuff. Of course you'll want to change it up a bit.

I wouldnt. Ps1 to ps2 there was obviously big changes, but not as big as ps1 to ps4. If anything, the hype should just increase as time passes since more tools come meaning a remake would look better and better
