pokemon

Don’t even try to use “Muh Sales” “Muh paid awards” “muh reviews”. Actually argue why the game someone posted isn’t bad

Weirdly specific topic

i had fun with it. leading the antlions through the prison level was cool

look, is the half life autist at it again

I don't know shit,but i like Half life games.

I imagine this is OP considering there's a repeating post and yours makes the most sense, why are so mad and why is the thread so specific?

how is HL2 shit

I hate turn based with a passion. Tried it, quit 10 hours in.

There’s been an uprising of people that think they are special because they don’t like HL2

Guess you had to be there, Zoomy-zoom

It's worse than HL1 but it's not "awful". Overrated, yeah. It's funny though because the AI was downgraded and if you install SMOD you can see just how much they did downgrade the AI since that game enables you to do a bunch of good AI tweaks.

The weapons aren't as cool as I'd like but the gravity gun and combine energy balls are a lot of fun and really good weapons.

Phew there's a lot.
> Last of Us
for being a half-baked action-adventure game with lots and lots of "walk-forward" sections and braindead puzzles.

> BotW
Has been discussed enough on Zig Forums you know the drill. Boring ass overworld, copy paste dungeons, terrible item management mechanics, boring artstyle, just everything

> Uncharted series
pretty much the entire series is a worse Tomb Raider (compared to the Tomb Raider trilogy on PS2) since it holds your hand and thinks you are a complete brainlet all the time.

> Any and all Remake, Remaster and Reboot
Whether it's Resident Evil 2, 3, FF7, and I'd even say Deus Ex. These are all games that were made to cash in hard and promote creative bankruptcy. Most of them are also the worst in the series, like GoW.

Oof I could go on. I don't think there's any critically acclaimed game that's actually that great, since critical acclaim is given by games journos and YouTubers, so...

How is it good?

Completely agree, you forgot RDR2, GtA v & Witcher 3 though

2004 = post 2003
The maths are simple as, bruv.

How to be a typical Zig Forums poster:

The physics puzzles are pretty horrible and the level design is ghastly.

My feeling are that I liked Half-Life 2. I also liked DOOM Eternal go fuck yourself with your Zig Forums-hivemind cookie cutter opinions as if that makes you special.

> How to be a NPC faggot
> Popular = Automatically Good

This shitty game, and the series at large. Incredibly overrated and has the worst gameplay known to man. Floaty, awful animations and fetch quests up your ass. Cannot stand Ubisoft and I have no idea why they're in business. It's a shame because when I first tried this game, I was actually interested in the concept.

You're no better faggot.

NPC trannies having a meltdown

You don't seem to understand that this thread was only made for (you)s
Fishing for newfags like you is the only reason threads like these are made. Good job

>the level design is ghastly.
thats a good thing though

This thread isn't about it being popular or good, stupid

It’s fun, plays well, cool story if you give a shit about that sort of thing and is the best tech demo since HL1. It spawned some of the best games STILL being played.

Speaking of Half Life, I've been looking for this mod that I think it had. It was one where you go in the sewers and gradually go into some hell-like place to save your dog or something like that. Anybody know what I'm talking about or am I just making this up?

This, the style of open-world that Assassin's Creed pioneered is truly awful

I remember trying halo life 2 and getting annoyed of the boat controls and all the fucking constant loading screens

agreed friendo, thx 4 discussing bidya ghames

Yeah it makes me feel real special when I am surrounded by people who can't take opinions that aren't aligned with metacritic.

>halo
half* silly phone why did you do that

Explain bad level design.

>AI was downgraded
Demonstrably false. Compare the code from HL1 to HL2 and you can see that AI was upgraded. HL1 AI was so dumb it couldn't even do two things at once.

What changed was that internal cohesion within HL1 was better so that the level designers knew how to set up levels to make the AI look smarter. In HL2 they didn't, with HL2Ep2 developer commentary outright admitting it while discussing what they learned from HL2 and how they improved level design since.
