Cant s-rank a single stage on hard. Every time I get a high combo going some bozo spawns out of nowhere and taps me. Is Axel bad? Seems like I cant do his toward special without getting punished for it.

Why does she have that fucking ugly hairstyle? Why is this hairstyle so common among strong female characters nowadays? It's so god damned ugly. Either go bald or full head of hair, not some inbetween like a reverse friar.

I'm trying to beat the game with each character to decide which one is my favorite. I'm currently stuck on stage 11 on fucking NORMAL and getting my clock cleaned. Playing as Axel. Is this game hard, or am I getting bad in my old age? I used to kick ass on SoR2.

he's got higher recovery frames than everyone else, so you need to play really conservatively. use basic jabs and delay your hits, if there's lots of weaker mooks onscreen (Donovans, Galsias, Dylans, etc), wait until you've got them bunched up to unload on them.

not confirmed, but apparently enemies read inputs; bear that in mind, because like I said, a lot of Axel's moves have really bad recovery frames.
nah, 4 is just a fairly different game from 2. 2 was just about surviving waves of enemies, 4 is that PLUS keeping high combo scores. its hitboxes are also pretty inconsistent, but once you get into things it'll slowly start coming together.

nah, Axel just has not so great crowd control and is kinda slow so you gotta be real patient. Adam is the real deal though if you want to just wail on enemies left and right.

I swear to god, if you hit forward special with Axel, you better have every motherfucker on the screen caught in it, or they will walk over and bop you on the way down. God forbid someone spawn during the long-ass animation.

literally the only thing holding him back is having 2 frames too many on half of his recoveries.
well yeah, it's pretty much always been that way. it's probably the most damaging offensive special in the series, vulnerability would be the most obvious drawback for it. satisfying as fuck when you GET all enemies on the screen caught in it though.
