>Black Desert Online + Best PVP + Best character selection >World of Warcraft + Best playerbase + Best raids >Final Fantasy XIV + Best music >Elder Scrolls Online + Best value + Best story
I got cancer when I needed to use the dogshit fucking ship to do quests in BDO and never touched it again. Running through the air with Lahn was fun though.
Brody Murphy
Any MMO where you don't spend most of your time playing with other people is not an MMO.
Jose Cruz
>eve +the only one that’s an actual mmo and not a casual carebear themepark
Caleb Murphy
My bad, I'm not nearly successful enough in life to actually take that game on yet.
Ian Sanchez
bdo is a sandbox mmo
Kevin James
>Black Desert Online Runs terribly. Awful quest design. >World of Warcraft Boring. Everything about it is designed to put you to sleep. >Final Fantasy XIV It's WoW but Japanese. >Elder Scrolls Online Like viewing a painting through a sheet of thin wax paper. The concept is there, but you're really not getting the whole package.
Julian Jones
its korean shit
Brody Davis
>World of Warcraft >+ Best playerbase Nigga you can't be serious.
none of them are worth playing, user. they're designed as time sinks for autists who like seeing things go up
Luke Turner
GW1 if you like the instanced missions and tactical vibe since you setup the whole party and success is mostly about that preparation, more than your own individual power.
GW2 for casual chilling in a nice looking environment and solid action PvP
SWTOR if you like star wars, narrative questing, and a fairly dated approach to combat like cata-era WoW
Anarchy Online if you like depth and immersion in a huge sci-fi sandbox
PSO2 for anime and action JPG fans in an instanced co-op setting
FFXI for insane itemization and depth of progression, in an incredibly atmospheric, well realized world, and epic mission campaigns to complement the lore and characters
Adam Jackson
>canelot unchained +best engine to make a bootleg fortnite cash grab with
Charles Bennett
>FFXI As someone who play XIV, I want to give XI a shot, but I'm worried I may not be able to like its old gameplay style. I also have a very slow internet so if I have to download 40gb for 2 days and end up not liking it I will be super mad...
Jayden Powell
>download 40gb for 2 days lmfao
Aiden Walker
So what is the playerbase types for the following games? No meme answers please.
I'm guessing the age range for the population is similar for FFXIV and WOW? Among any others?
FFXIV ESO WOW GW2 BDO
Oliver King
That's what I get for living in a shithole
Nicholas Ortiz
What game is that?
Jonathan Fisher
I want to like GW2 so bad, but ArenaNet's retardation and the terrible DX9 optimization keep me from enjoying it fully.
Tyler Hughes
Blue Protocol waiting room. I can't go back to WoW or XIV anymore and everything else is dead.
Alexander Peterson
>>World of Warcraft >+ Best playerbase
Nobody who still willingly consumes Blizzard's shit is the best anything. Say what you will about pretty much any other popular MMO, but Blizzard is the only MMO dev I can think of who publicly makes their disdain for their players known on a semi-regular basis.
Hunter Reyes
I remember hearing about tons of upcoming games years ago and then nothing happened. Granted mmos take time to make but there's gotta be something, right?
Matthew Mitchell
That diablo clone is getting a new title. Can't remember the name but i'll never forget that boring, safe, standard "heh i'm smirking" western female character design.
Jaxon Taylor
I've only played WoW and GW2. The regular players feel pretty similar. A lot of them are so-so at the game, and quite a few people are just there looking to bust a nut to their character. WoW's players feel a lot more unforgiving. You can be doing a Mythic 4 dungeon, and your team will year your ass apart for even the smallest mistake. In GW2, that shit only exists in groups that want you to ping 200 or more kill Proofs, but they'll also kick you if you miss you miss your DPS benchmark by any amount
Grayson Foster
Is it old news or the main dev behind WoW right now still play the game on a shitty tablet?
Justin Morales
i won't sugarcoat it, the gameplay and systems are dated and confusing and its not new player friendly. if you play on controller its ok, pretty much like FF14 except not modern rotation combat. on keyboard its weird you play with the numpad which throws new people off totally.
the launcher is also dated, even though they updated the installer and its infinitely faster to install and update than it used to be, its still a slow, single-file FTP transfer when updating, so its takes a while.
but once you get into it all the campaigns, visuals, music, characters, etc, are fantastic and you can solo 99% of it and just enjoy the ride.
>FFXIV trannies, degenerate Tera refugees, awful console casuals who ruin simple dungeon runs and unironically say "MY SUB, MY GAME, DON'T TELL ME HOW TO PLAY"
>ESO bored housewives and their simps
>WOW mentally ill blizz-prisoners
>GW2 bored housewives and their simps
>BDO soulless bugmen
Matthew Miller
Torchlight?
James Foster
>BDO: best PVP lol. No game where 90% of the deciding factors in a fight are gear score and level can be best in class. Also more critically the game's netcode and hit detection is god awful. It took literal years for them to fix most of the glitches Berserker had.
Brandon King
what do you mean by bugmen for BDO? As an FFXIV player you nailed it though.
That's a shame for ESO though I was hoping for that to have a relatively comfy community.
David Morales
return of reckoning is fun if you like PvP. and it's free.
Joshua Lewis
That's it.
Easton Nelson
Don't forget that climbing the gear ladder will eventually mean facing very shitty odds at upgrading your gear, because Korea loves that shit for whatever reason. At this point I'd expect more and more players to have PEN gear as well.
Parker Nguyen
Doesn't BDO has technically endless level but it require a god killing amount of grind to do it?
the bored housewive community of games like ESO and GW2 is nice though, so long as you don't want do anything serious and challenging. they are mostly casual carebear games + communities, who are all really friendly. you just have to put up with normie conversation, boomers talking about their teenage children etc. i know a lot of people fucking hate that. personally i find it amusing so long as i'm not playing the game to do challenging shit like mythic raiding.
Ayden Adams
>Star Wars Galaxies + It's Star Wars Galaxies + I haven't met any transexuals
>GW2 best combat >XIV best aesthetics best encounter design
Zachary Ramirez
Which MMOs have the best stories and motivate you to finish their quests from a lore perspective besides the FF games
Ayden Harris
this, bdo is also p2w af
there isn't a single good mmo, the genre is dead (at least for now). I am interested in what New World and Elyon will turn into or how will they fuck it. Also currently best mmo for me personally is singleplayer mmo XBC-X
Ian Thomas
ESO probably.
Logan Cruz
PLAY LOTRO
Liam Wright
Why can noone make an MMO with decent combat? I like everything else but clicking on things and wait until they die is so stupid. I just want something like Monster Hunter but MMO.
Julian Perez
black desert is so trash I can't believe anyone would recommend it.
The only viable MMO's are WOW, FFXIV, Eve and OSRS. pick your poison because every other mmo is far fucking worse than the 4 I listed (which are already heavily flawed)
Benjamin Jenkins
New World is at least targeted combat where you have to aim, unlike every other retard copying wows tab target system.
Ethan Foster
I hate normie talk desu but there are some cool ones out there to game with online.
I used to do hardcore content on FFXIV but unsubbed from that for ages now.
