i might have autism so forgive me, but i just cannot stand how the modded windows look darker than the original, but peaches hair looks lighter? like why do that. i could understand the windows and hair looking brighter/darker, but why the difference?

That sounds like a really good idea, but I get the feeling the Mario Odyssey assets aren't going to cover the whole game and it'll still be left to 'artistic interpretation' for later game assets. That said, this is still a promising start and I hope all continues well.

The only mod I want for the port is one that recreates the old renders and replaces everything to look like them.
...also, in all honesty, the interior of the castle looks fucked, as well as the paintings. Low res textures actually helped 'em since it actually looked like it was painted on, it had a nice washed feel.

It's on the internet forever now. Nothing Ninfucks can do about it.

It stopped the distribution of compiled exes. That seems like not much, but it's pretty significant, since all the more complex projects that could've come out of the port were effectively nipped at the bud by that. Don't expect much more than cosmetic improvements.

The improved texture of the stained glass is basically an undeniably, objective improvement. It doesn't change the art style or anything, it merely enhances a low-res image into a sharper one.

The changes to the HUD are more debatable. I personally prefer the original pixelated icons. This is where you begin to enter the territory of subjectivity that leads to the pic like the one you quoted.

Well it's in the same legal category as a site that lets you download regular ass ROMs. Just it was legal before they said "hey. don't do this. we'll ruin your life"
