It has some bangers but then also the NLA themes. Regardless, it's overall not as good as other Xeno games.

You fight using "blades" which is a twist on the persona concept and you get those blades through gacha but you roll using ingame items.

Of course not. There are also lots of story/quest blades you can get with no RNG. Also common blades can actually be really good but most people just refuse to use them.

2 is weird. So much good stuff but so many bizarre QoL issues. It's like a PS2 game that came out 15 years too late.

XC1 & 2 are very derivative games. XC1 is a classic PS2 RPG, XC2 is a classic Neptunia RPG. Cross is underrated for how much of an innovative and unique game it is. Really needs a re-release.

This game unironically looks amazing on Cemu. I just wish it had reshade support and the fps patch wasn't so buggy.

Agreed. It's ridiculous just how insanely good it is compared to other JRPGs in the genre, and in its own series. Unique concept, phenomenal execution. Compare that to braindead XC1, the pointless FF7R, or the derivative disappointment of P5. It's insanely good and pretty much the sole reason why I'll even bother following JRPGs in the future.
