Huskarls literally counter infantry counters you fucking retard. Once you get the goth death ball rolling it's not stopping. The only reliable way to deal with them is to rush them before they can get to the point of being unstoppable.

play on slow and against moderate/standard AI first, you can train this, once you get how to do the initial build order it becomes way easier

Play Civ 5, it’s pretty slow and you can plan out anything you want during each turn.

That's perfectly fine and you can play it like a city building/ tower defense game and don't let anybody tell you otherwise. Play with friends, have a blast.

Jags and TKs die to hand cannoneers, which Goths have. Cataphracts are too costly and slow to produce.

I hate how the devs are balancing the civs ONLY around generic units, and don't give a shit how much most of the unique units suck ass and almost never see any play in competitive games because the generic units just outshine them 99% of the time.
