What's kirby's epic yarn supposed to be

It's supposed to be made out of rope, or string or something. I don't know. What do you call that cotton shit that people knit sweaters out of?

The Link's Awakening remake doesn't fit your dumb shitpost at all.

Holy shit I never noticed. I'm going to buy and play all of these now

It looks like actual children's toys in a plastic /clay diorama, user.

A couple of paper jokes are fine but I don't know why Paper Mario became so obsessed with the arts and crafts.

It is the default style Nintendo gives to all of their B or C tier productions now, basically.

>Why yes, we do only play games with shallow gameplay where the punchline to every joke is a paper gag, how could you tell?

I'm getting real sick of this 'trend'

Thread

/Thread

It's made out of real life CGI

Epic Yarn and Wooly World are good. Rest are trash

Thread/

Color Splash is unirocally good.

And to think Epic Yarn started out as a Prince Fluff game and would have killed the trend in the grave if that happened.

Based retarded ESLposter

>Epic Yarn and Woolly World are the only decent/good ones
>Everything else is recent and has been complete shit
Why can't they just stick with a formula that works? Yoshi's Crafted World was really disappointing after Woolly World, too.

Who ever said it was unique? They don't do it to make the game look unique, they do it to have more impressive graphics. A cartoon art style can only look so good. At a certain point to make the game look better you need a more realistic art style, like how Mario Odyssey made the realistic city level or Link's Awakening made everything look like toys. If they kept the TTYD art style it really wouldn't look any better than TTYD being emulated at 1080p and that's a 15 year old game.

Nintendo doesn't stick to formulas unless it's one of their games that sells 10+ million. And even then, they add in gimmicks. It's just the smaller franchises that get eternally buttfucked under the guise of "innovation."
It stops being impressive when so many games use the style, user. Also, you could absolutely make a storybook style (an actual storybook style like within the book, not the paper the book was printed on) with modern tech and make it look "realistic." Nintendo just likes the same design elements.

Wooly World is a 10/10 game and the best sequel to Yoshi's Island that we ever got.

Ristar 2

those kirby games are great though

Even Rainbow Curse?

Had it on wiiu, was fun

Agred 100%. Woolly World is great and the only Yoshi game that even comes close to Island.

Link's Awakening was kino and using a quarter for the music was genius

*quartet

Epic Yarn is top-tier.

I really liked Epic Yarn and Wooly World though. Rainbow Curse wasn't so bad either, but inferior to Canvas Curse. Only played the Crafted World demo, but couldn't get into it. Haven't played the others.

You would know since you play with them when you’re not here shitposting

the only bad games in that image are the paper mario games, except for the one that didnt come out yet.
