Different user here. Is there really nothing worthwhile in this game? Some of the videos I've seen are weird, the weirdly juxtaposed art direction, the gameplay seems rather braindead, but I was hoping it was just very early game footage or something else that I was missing.

I played it on launch, before they realized they didn't know what stats and balance was. Breezed through all the content by mashing AoE skills because nothing scaled as you progressed through the game. The final boss is literally MikeZ parry/perfect block autism that you have to do to win. The story is non-existent and the sidequests for each character do nothing to develop them (Baozhai, the cool pirate lady, is just a blushing lesbian, Tungar and Pheobe hook up, if you're into that). By the midpoint of the game, you can pick the next areas to visit in any order, but then you still gotta backtrack through a bunch of stuff when you get new platforming abilities. Ajna only uses her different weapons to platform in the same way you need to find the blue key to open the blue door. They also get kinda integrated into her battle moves, but they don't really matter since you just want to AoE spam to win. Also around the midpoint of the game, you get really sick of Ajna's bullshit and come to the logical conclusion that Dhar did nothing wrong. The rest of the game is her getting dumb superpowers and having her own party doubt her intentions, and then you just fly like an idiot anywhere before beating the game.
