Anyone else excited for Command and Conquer Remastered?
RTS thread
Hoping it drums up support for a RA2 remaster someday in the future
I just bought the game for the remastered OST... Really I have a deep emotional bond with this game, I'm gonna enjoy it for sure.
This, RA2 is so buggy and needs fixed. I've never managed to finish a LAN game without a crash.
On topic, I might buy it but I don't see the point when for SP, the original is probably just as good. Plus, while EA are trying to be consumer friendly, I don't see any need to rush buying the game.
Do I need to install origin for this?
It's on steam you retarded nigger.
You can choose whether you want to buy it on steam or origin. Personally i prefer Steam since this game will have workshop support.
yes, mostly for the remastered soundtrack by the man himself.
Already pre-ordered. Really hoping they'll continue the remasters. RA2 is the C&C game I think everyone wants the most.
EA games usually require origin even if you buy through steam though
WITH THE AID OF MY SECRET WEAPON!
I've been listening to it recently and it's so good/ Better than I remember.
You only need Origin account, not client. Fallen Order was the only game requiring the client since it was a sudden decision and they wanted the game available on launch.

If they ever make it to Generals, which I doubt, I hope they allow us to zoom out. Can't see shit in that game.
Well, Generals is only one remaster away technically, assuming the next one would be Tiberian Sun/RA2 combo.
sounds like a personal problem
RA2 plays just fine for me
I am. Only going to play it with tho old graphics though. In it for the music remasters and b-roll footage they found.
Most likely an in-game login thing like Mass Effect had. It's been outlined in the developer comments what exactly will be the go.
I've tried over the years on various OSs and machines.
>Open source / mod support
>Fully remastered in 4k, with the ability to switch between classic graphics and new graphics in real time
>Includes Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun, Red Alert and all the expansion packs
>A ton of unreleased content, missions from consoles, new features, upscaled cinematics, 7 hours of remastered music
>No annoying DRM
>A fresh online multiplayer with custom lobbies and new players
What went right, Zig Forums?
EA was hands off and the community was heavily involved.
Passionate people were involved from the top down, not just at the bottom.
>1996 funds
Heh.
Nice shillage.
>Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun
No it doesn't.
Probably meant Dawn.
I know. But I like to call out incorrectness.
Sorry, i realized that typo right after i wrote it. I meant to say Tiberian Dawn.
EA hired petroglyph to make it who are old westwood
>What went right, Zig Forums?
Frank Klepacki is doing the music remaster. That's what went right.
They probably saw the age of empires remake and compared it to the warcraft remake and realized if you actually give a shit fans will flock to you
>being excited for EA games
I learned my lesson about 12 years ago, you still have much to learn zoomer
EA's involvement in this is pretty much limited to doing the PR and lending of IP.
