What does Zig Forums think of the current state of Mortal Kombat and NetherRealm Studios?

Fujin and Sindel were fuckin great too. Gonna miss these characters but I understand they have to move on. Heres to hopin for Shaolin Monks 2 prequel that takes places before MK1.

Total shitshow with no clear direction other than rehashing everything prior and adding guest characters. Also it's the trailer trash of fighting games

It's SHIT. Terrible. MK9 was depressing, as for some baffling reason that pile of dogshit was treated as one of the best fighting games ever, MKX was worse, MK11 was even worse. NetherRealm sucks ass and can't make a good fighting game, and can't write a half decent story mode where characters can do shit outside of their own fucking chapters

>DLC has two endings one where Liu Kang wipes Shang Tsung from history and goes to teach the Great Kung Lao and one where Shang Tsung is a titan with Raiden and Fujin as his minions and prepares to invade Chaosrealm and Orderrealm after they've already conquered Earthrealm, Outworld, and Netherrealm
That's the gist of it

I just want a game with pretty much the same base roster as MK9, the goofy gibberish from the Arcades, konquest mode from deception, all the minigames from MK9 and customization similiar to injustice 2 instead of the shitty mk11 one. I am also fully aware i will never see a mk game like that.

Samsung manages to convince kung fu man and blunder god to send them back in past to retrieve kronika crown because turns out you can fuck time with out it, so indio man and blow me join samsung to get that stuff but turns out later that samsung created the crown , he betrays everyone , kills everyone and fights agaisnt kung fu man at the end and he either wins or looses
If he wins he becomes a gigant and starts conquering realms for some reason
If he looses kung fu man trains the og kun lao for the new mk tournament

And Kotal continues to get shat on

There were a lot of dumb moments but Liu Kang losing to Shao Kahn after having rekt him 4 or 5 times with no effort in both timelines was just pure Shao Kahn fanservice.

But you don't play as Shao Kahn. The playthrough I watched on Youtube had Sindel beat Kitana while Shao Kahn beat Liu Kang offscreen. I feel like maybe it would have been better if Sindel beat Kitana and then she and Kahn 2v1'd Liu and that's how he lost. Keeps Liu's cred while still having him lose.

He is not the strong cunning conqueror from previous games
